Slight correction: According to the D&D 5e 2014 rules , "if a tie occurs (meaning that two creatures rolled the same total on their Dexterity check), the DM decides the order among tied DM-controlled creatures, and the players decide the order among their tied characters". The dexterity score tiebreaker is a homebrew thing.
Omg you’re right!! I’ll pin your comment! This is like one of the only things I was so sure that I didn’t even fact check it. Damn. I’ll make sure I just fact check everything next time lol. Thank you for this!
@@BananaBreakdown I’m glad it helps! I try to watch the full video, like, and leave a comment on each one even if I don’t have anything special to say just to help you in the algorithm.
@@iamplayingthis166 you are freaking awesome. If I ever have a discord for this you will be my mod haha. You’re seriously amazing and if you need anything let me know!!
Good video. BTW it's not actually called "One D&D". WotC used that name when they announced the revision but stopped using it pretty quickly... (probably based on the community's lack of enthusiasm for it). The new player's handbook is just called the 2024 PHB and it's basically referred to as a revision of 5e. You can call it whatever you want, though. I know lots of people are still referring to it as "5.5". *shrug*
@@MannonMartin ohhh!!! Thank you! I didn’t know that. Haha wow man this whole thing has been such a crap show honestly. I like some of the updates but the way they went about it is so bad. Me and my mates have been calling it one d&d this whole time 😭 haha. They need a better now wow. I’m gonna have to think of something for the next video lol
1:30 if there is a Tie: the players decide. I nope'd out after this point; nice click bait, good luck with the channel and try actually reading the rules before making a video about rules next time!
You should actually check the top comment that I pinned 3 weeks ago. I realise I made a mistake. I appreciate your comment and keeping me accountable though.

5e’s initiative has always been an ability check. This is why stone of good luck can improve your initiative.
Great video!
Thanks so much mate :) if there’s anything you want to see let me know!
I just do initiative simply. Everyone rolls. Highest roll goes first. Then we either go clockwise or counterclockwise around the table.
Yep easy! This video is just to expand and also explain the differences in One as there are quite a few :)
Also mate thank you. Every time you leave a comment, it really does help!!!

P.S been working on part 3 ;)
