I recently discovered the "Show transcript" feature; it's on the drop-down three-dot button menu. This is great because closed captions (I'm hard of hearing) sometimes obscure on-screen information. Now, I know this feature is not unique to your videos. However, I did notice that your transcripts are not marked as "auto-generated." If that means you have taken the time and effort to make sure that the transcription is verbatim (sometimes, auto-generated quality leaves something to be desired), then I thank you even more for these fabulous videos.
I wish they would teach this us in elementary skol, like this stuff is so interesting. To even think that people took these as sacred and now we can talk aboit it from secular perspective is just amazing
Well I just learned today, The Muse Melpomene is painted in The Library of Congress in DC! Accurate and eerie. She is the muse of Tragedy. And if it isn’t already clear that politics are nothing more than Theater. The most high stakes theater, equaling tragedy . It blew my mind!
The first verse of Homer's Odyssey. Ἄνδρα μοι ἔννεπε, Μοῦσα, πολύτροπον...= Tell me about the man, Musa, the man of many ways... From Musa the word Museum ,In antiquity the museum was described as a place dedicated to the worship of the Muses. This means that the arts, letters, music, poetry, philosophy and dance were cultivated in this area.
You are absolutely stunning. Your content is incredibly useful and highly educational yet fun. Love this channel! Keep up the absolutely fantastic work!
Thanks, Gía! No problem, we completely understand that not everyone can support us financially, but you're still supporting us by watching our videos and reading our articles. 🙂
2025 is going to be about inspiration vision arising from our dystopia, the fallen arts will rise in appreciation and in value for we have a return of the cosmic Gods in our hour of need!
What are the figures from your culture comparable to the Nine Muses?
Here in Mexico, we have the Mexica and the Mayan Gods! Is very difficult to find the Mesoamerican counterpart of the Greco-Roman Muses!
here in India, we have innumerable gods related to arts and music named as "Gandharvas "
please bring a video on Norse mythology .
Kleio is my fave. I have a degree in History. I have the Michelangelo Delphic Sybil from the Sistine Chapel for thoughts and inspiration.

Maybe the three and then nine muses are two distinct groups: one group of three and some other group of nine; expressions of yet other gods.
Interesting thought. Thanks for watching!
