The story of Prometheus has been misinterpreted and modified in the last two centuries especially by romantic writers to make Prometheus look like a hero or benefactor. In short, for centuries since Antiquity Prometheus has been viewed by poets, writers and authors as a lowly, jealous trickster who did not help or benefit anybody by his actions. He stole fire by hubris and envy, he hid it or misused it without helping anyone, and he was justly held accountable and punished, and when the time was right he was justly released by Herakles/Hercules under the instructions or with the permission of Zeus.
This is the proof that Greeks knew about regeneration capacity of liver...in medicine our textbook mentioned about Prometheus in very first sentence of chapter on liver...
Just because one can imagine so doesn't mean they were able to do so. 1000 years later people like you would pick up Harry potter books or marvel comics and say "Our ancestors knew so much more than how much we know today and were so powerful".
Honestly hate the Oppenheimer-Prometheus comparisons. Prometheus gave humans a necessary tool for survival, Oppenheimer gave us a bomb that killed hundreds of thousands of people and condemned many more to constant agonizing pain and birth defects
Those similarities are due to cultural exchanges between different civilizations when they had contact with each other. Merchants, immigrants and travellers would likely share language, culture, religion, experience and general knowlege whenever they travelled to other places. So of course this would cause similarities and reinterpretations of stories and myths.

This animation style is beautiful! Especially the part where ''To some, he gave flight, to others the ability to move through water, or race through grass. He gave the beasts glittering scales, soft fur, and sharp claws.''
According to ancient stories and mythology, Zeus was never defeated or overthrown. Zeus was among other thïngs called the Lord of justice and the protector of oaths and of the weak. He was fair in his actions towards others. Zeus was also known by other names in other places in Antiquity. Those who think Zeus was bad do not know well the ancient stories and their meaning. Fun Fact: In another version of this myth, Zeus does not get intervene to the creation of man. This version suggests that Prometheus' brother, Epimetheus, wasted all luxury and enforcements to the other animals and when finally it is the humans' turn to be finalized, he has nothing left to give to them (Epimetheus' name means the opposite of Prometheus', thinking after acting). So, when Zeus throws heavy cold on humans to punish Prometheus for siding with them instead of the Gods, Prometheus steals a coal from Hephaestus' forgery and it is him who teaches humans how to use fire!
I did this myth for a project in school, where we had to draw comics of a myth of our choice. This was the only one I heard of from the options we were given. I knew it would get violent at the end, so I had to ask my teacher “Can I draw someone’s liver being ripped out?”
I remember hearing about another part of this myth that supposedly was not included. It was after Prometheus had stolen the fire and gave it to mankind, he was forced to watch them burn down a forest with the same fire he gave them. Even tho he was able to teach them something new and provide something that made their lives better and easier, he could not control what they did with it after and he could not take back what he had given them.
its really interesting when you think about it, although a promethean perspective and philosophy is to i actually help advance others, it always ends up with some angry mob attacking the results of the effort. I swear this world's main law of physics is irony.

To anyone who hates Zeus don’t worry kratos killed him
@@sebasmsmsm That's irony for ya

Good to know
The story of Prometheus has been misinterpreted and modified in the last two centuries especially by romantic writers to make Prometheus look like a hero or benefactor.
The violent, inaccurate, senseless god of war game will be dealt with appropriately in the next few decades.
This is the proof that Greeks knew about regeneration capacity of liver...in medicine our textbook mentioned about Prometheus in very first sentence of chapter on liver...
GOT Fan Really? What did it say?
Just because one can imagine so doesn't mean they were able to do so. 1000 years later people like you would pick up Harry potter books or marvel comics and say "Our ancestors knew so much more than how much we know today and were so powerful".
*Kratos wants to know your location*

It could be the other way around
Those similarities are due to cultural exchanges between different civilizations when they had contact with each other. Merchants, immigrants and travellers would likely share language, culture, religion, experience and general knowlege whenever they travelled to other places. So of course this would cause similarities and reinterpretations of stories and myths.
Jews copied a lot of ancient greek mythology. This is a perfect example.

No wonder Kratos killed Zeus.

What did the teacher answered?
of course! just tell them it's cranberry jam :)
@@pustota7254 the teacher said as long as it was accurate to the story
“Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man. For this he was chained to a rock and tortured for eternity.”
Thanks, Prometheus!
its really interesting when you think about it, although a promethean perspective and philosophy is to i actually help advance others, it always ends up with some angry mob attacking the results of the effort. I swear this world's main law of physics is irony.
