      @@mariadelcarmenrojascarrasq5114 I used the Scalp Revival Shampoo by Briogeo :) It seriously saved my scalp after dealing with dandruff etc for years! I can also recommend the Scalp Revival Treatment for spot treating the most itchy parts of your scalp! Pure, undiluted tea tree oil can be very irritating so be careful! I wouldn't use it on irritated skin because as an essential oil it's literally just perfume and that can cause irritation and even allergies!

    I used to work at Sally Beauty so I know all about hair care! Here’s some cheaper products I recommend that are bomb!:
    -Biotera Shampoo & conditioner (they have everything from hair color care, moisturizing ones for dry damaged hair, etc) and it smells bomb!
    -Infusium 23 Pro Original Leave in treatment
    Find you a good leave In conditioner! This one leaves your hair smelling bomb all day, shiny and soft! I use it everytime I wash my hair.
    -Macadamia hair mask (once a week)
    -Silk Elements heat protectant is bomb 😍 leaves your hair shiny, smelling good and soft. Doesn’t feel burnt after the usual styling it with heat

  • @haleighcooper7008
    @haleighcooper7008 5 ปีที่แล้ว +204

    I understand sponsored posts and know you all need to make money to continue to make videos.. but the sponsored posts are super frequent recently. Maybe keep your regular schedule for non sponsored post and add bonus videos that are the sponsored ones. I want to believe that you all love everything you recommend but even if we don’t believe we’re being biased, it’s easy to be when the product is free or if you’re being paid to talk about it.

      Hey I know this comment was super long ago but I recommend trying Dove's anti dandruff line of shampoo and conditioner. It's affordable and a good place to start when you're trying figure out how to combat seborrheic dermatitis. I recently have come to the conclusion that my scalp problems are probably from excess oils rather than dryness. I was afraid to use anti dandruff shampoo at first but dove is very hair friendly (if that makes sense), instead of just feeling medicinal. I've been pleased for the most part and it's about $5/bottle.

I also use the scalp treatment after shower or whenever I feel itchy on my scalp especially in the winter when my scalp is super dry. When my scalp is dry and I try to use other oils, it makes my scalp super oily. Glad U guys did this video.

    But washing your hair everyday won't make your scalp produce more oil? Since you are stripping it off in the shower

    • @BeautyWithin
      @BeautyWithin  5 ปีที่แล้ว +69

      This could definitely be true, and it's stated A LOT in articles and tips. But at the end of the day, it comes down to each of our own skin types and situations. So for those of you with dry skin, it's true that you won't have to wash the hair too often, as the skin isn't producing as much sebum to begin with. But if you have oily scalp, it might be better to wash everyday otherwise it can get congested and irritated on the scalp, which is what happens to me. So it's all about reading our own bodies and our own skin to make the best decision, rather than following general tips too much 😊Hope this makes sense hehe - fel

    • @ValeriaKoleva
      @ValeriaKoleva 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beauty Within I feel the question goes the other way around, if I may, since I’m fighting a similar situation - I need my scalp to oil up. It gets dirty by day 5, but barely oily! Combing the conditioner from the roots (rather than just the ends) isn’t quite right because it pretty much flattens it, like Fel’s does after blow drying. I’ve been trying to wash it more often than just once a week for the past couple of months and it did start oiling just a bit more, so I guess Emily, yes, washing it within less days does accommodate it oil more, with time.

    I've used briogeo before and the banana shampoo and conditioner did wonders for my hair. Then I decided to try the matcha shampoo and superfoods leave in conditioner and they literally destroyed my hair. It left my hair super dry and frizzy and the leave in conditioner felt super heavy. Rochelle Sofia Llaban castile soap is pretty harsh, i wouldn't recommend for acne prone skin. it could potentially damage ur moisture barrier which would lead to more acne! also castile's pH level is very high, so it'll throw off the pH of your skin. ideally you want to use products with a pH of 5.5-6.5, especially if you're dealing with acne prone skin.

    Ohkay now I don't know what happened to me during puberty but my face is definitely under OILY category but my curly scalp is soooo far from an oily scalp! I'd love to be one of those people that get oily hair after a few days of not washing cuz as a curly head, we just don't wash everyday and my problem is that the longer I go without washing, the more itchy and dry and flaky my scalp gets...reguardless of using oils in my case. 😭

    Just like few comments here. I was excited to see the video but right on the thumbnail I knew it was going to be a sponsored video. Just like someone said, im sure you both love the product but we can't help but think that it can be a biased review since it is sponsored. Anyways, I'll just go for the next video.

      Try dabbing tea tree oil with a thin piece of cotton. Neem juice, if available.

    What if I dont know my hair type? My scalp is oily and flaky. My hair is soft and shiny but bushy/frizzy. I dont use any heat, I wash every 3-7 days. I dont use any styling products or do any styling. I just put it up because it's so bushy. I wish it would lay straight down like the girl on the right, even when u straighten its fluffy and flyaway.

    FINALLY a cruelty free brand review. I hope in the futur you'll partner more and more with those and leave L'oreal, Clarins, La Roche-Posey behind as they should.
