Speaking of eel. Here in our province in Agusan del Norte we have huge hectares of eel farm in which there's a partnership between Japan and our fellow local businessman where they export those eels going to Japan from the farm. That will also my bucketlist in the future to explore Japan. Have a nice time back there in Canada Bret with Butter and of course your family as well.

I really enjoy seeing your 24 hour stop-over in Japan as if with all the experiences plus your very vivid description of everything in there I feel that I was traveling with you plus experiencing all those good stuff you bought from 7-11 there. Maybe the only one that I won’t try is about eating the eel . I have been to Japan quite a few times but I wasn’t able to experience the one that you did in a matter of 24 hours.
Again, I’m so happy to see back to the stuff that you love to do and I would love to see see Butter Bean’s upon seeing you back in the Canadian soil.

I am from the Philippines and i just love japan... aside from the delicious food like the eels, ramen and sushi, etc, the convenience stores are legit (as you've said)... those soft boiled eggs are my favorite!... if you have a microwave where you stay (or just let the store heat it up for you), try the packed meals and the sausages... and the egg sandwhiches are really really good (specially the ones from Family Mart hehehe)... and they have heated freezer things there (i don't know what they are called) and heated vending machines that have warm drinks... try the warm milk tea (in a plastic bottle).. the best!... keep safe man.... and keep exploring...
