Sorry the ride was canceled. Thanks for taking the time to show the equipment. Many memories of assembling the plows, field cultivator, and #5 pickers. While cleaning up an old tool box recently I came across a few of the Oliver keystone stickers that came with implements that needed to be assembled. Might need to send them to you! The wheel rake was made by Darf for several manufacturers. Assembled both Oliver and New Idea versions.
I enjoy playing with my toys at home also. Great collection of stuff. Don't worry about the Deere not "fitting in" there all green tractors. It's the red ones that will f up your day.
Fantastic FOURTH tractor show. I very much appreciate you taking the effort to SHOW your equipment. Up next...Fireworks ..... Oliver FEED GRINDER MIXER ? Thanks
Ross in the Hart Parr Collector magazine July/August edition there is a small article on the Heritage series and a picture if a 1355 utility tractor. I thought of your silver tractor when I saw it and the article said only 3 have turned up.
I talk to that guy before he sent that article in. I think we found as many as five of the Heritage 1355s. I’m planning on making a video on what I’ve learned so far about heritage paint. Thanks!!
Great video Ross, I love when someone takes care to preserve implements. Most people only want to have and restore the tractors and sadly many implements gets scrapped. I also like to be able to look at implements through the years and see how they evolved as the years went by. Very nice collection. Happy 4th.
Look on the bright side, even though weather spoiled the tractor drive, know you have an excuse to mow/ spray around where all those implements and tractors sat. Great video keep them coming
That is a cool idea to have tractor show at the rest stop of tractor drive. Been to a few of those a local FFA club puts on. Might make for a longer stop, but it would still be neat.
This was a great video showcasing your collection. I’ve been having health problems as of late and will be having spinal surgery in 2 week but your videos always bring a smile to my face. Keep up the great content.
Hi Ross how are you.I loved your intro to the video it was funny 😂.I think I'll move away to and have an Auction to😂😂.I thought I would comment while I got a second.Thats what I got a lot of in the summer maybe 2 some days .Some days I fill like I'm 80 even though I am 57 to Some days to I just have to stop and smell the roses 😂😂 to because of my arthritis. Thank you for the show of your equipment I enjoyed your collection so far anyway. When I was a young boy back in the early 70's our landlord had his equipment to get the ground we had to use his equipment and that meant we had to use his two row Oliver ear corn picker the lucky part for dad at least he got to use his own tractor which was a 1080 MF I had to use the landlords tractors and old corn auger and fill two old corn bins a MH 44 and an old farmall M trust me he got the better end of the deal. That and a 1850 Oliver tractor I bought as an adult were the only Oliver's we had on the farm and a 5100 white planter but I always liked them you are doing great with your channel enjoy every video
Quite a walk through history. Nice way to celebrate Independence Day!!! Having a couple of other tractor brands in the collection attests to family variety.
I liked the stories you told about each tractor and piece of equipment. I'll always remember the story behind each of my tractors/equipment too. Great video. Too bad about your tractor drive. Hopefully this coming Sunday will be better.
Quite the line up you have there! Plenty of room in the field for a 2255,1900, super 99, 995 lugamatic, among of course, more implements. Sky is the limit. If you buy enough you won't have to pay taxes 😂. This was a fun video 👍
Thanks for the show! It would be neat to set up the hay train with the sickle mower and crimper. It’s one of those things that alway impressed me with that era of equipment. Sadly my grandfathers Allis setup wasn’t deemed worthy of saving. The old rubber crimping rollers are the only reminder laying out in a hedge row. They wore out about the time a pull swather came onto the farm…
I have a 1972 1755, I have always wanted one after sitting a brand new sitting in the dealer show room. I have my aunt's 77 that she bought brand new in 1950 and her 70 she bought used. I have front mounted cultivators for both, a few years ago we cultivated corn with them. I was a big hit with the guys that had never cultivated before. i had spent many hours cultivating corn in my youth. I have 7 other Olivers in addition to the before mentioned tractors
Super 88 -- you really should do some body work, straighten the side panels and paint it. I really like that tractor. I have this thing about things that were built in 1955. We talked about the Ford Jubilee at the fair, it was built the year of my birth. My Uncle Claude used to restore these as a profession. I would really like to see you go all the way with that little thing. Love the ear corn picker and box and the Minnie-Mo Harvestor. Have watched this video several times.
You sure have a nice collection of tractors and equipment to play with. I'm a little jealous but proud to see you taking care of as many as you can. The 1755 is probably my favorite for sure
Dad bought a new Oliver super 55d.new50 baler had a 60.with a culavoter l was to young to know when to slow down and broke the baler to many times was older when I did a lot of corn plowing my uncle John in Michigan farmed with Oliver machinery l grow up in Elkhart county Bill Riley was the Oliver dealer thanks for sharing
Maybe "Ebay" has a carb for you for the 880? Also, looks like the right front tire might need some new air added to it. That cutter bar mower, that's what I commented on the other video you posted. Maybe this would be a good winter project, provided you had a shed with heat to work on it in. If you're like me, everything is done outside in the elements lol, still get the job done though. Oh man, that crimper reminds me of the one I had, rubber on metal though. Worked better than what people think they do. I believe mine was a woods, can't remember, sold it. Love your collection, I too enjoy the old antique tractors and equipment, to me, they're still far superior to today's stuff. And, many have forgotten what it really was like back in the day. Great video as always, cheers :)
I checked back at the time I was working on it and there was not one available. I found one now on there but they want $450 so I’ll probably just keep using this one until I can’t stand it anymore.
@@rosstheoliverman Perhaps just keep watching Ebay for one? I've had to keep looking for a part myself once, took a bit of time but, finally found what I needed.
Oh Ross Yeah I wanted to say about teflon tape I use it a lot to 😂😂.and I wanted to say I use to restore equipment a lot to and Sickle mowers of all kinds and sell them I still try if I can .I got 2 32 Massey Ferguson sickle mowers for my self to.
I’ll have to go snap a picture of our old Oliver superior drill steel wheel drill we fixed up and seeded a bunch of oats with it. Worked awesome and actually looks awesome and original.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, Ross. Like hearing about the tractors and I could think of a lot worse things for a bad habit than collecting old tractors. My boy, Cody, has been really interested in the Oliver tractors. We recently bought him a 1555 Oliver that sat workless since 2011. It needs a little work, can't seem to make it run without the choke being out a little but Cody sure loves it regardless. God Bless and Happy 4th!
Great video. Happy 4th of July. Best tractor show I've seen so far this year! I think that steering on the jubilee is the same as the 550 made by Saginaw steering. I have my 550's tore apart. I took it apart 15yrs and 5 children ago. I might have time to get it going some day.
Enjoyed seeing the 66. My grandfather had a Row Crop 66 just like yours although his had factory diamond plate step plates on the left axle for easy access for the driver. I remember him(70s/early80s) having an Oliver sickle bar mower for it that was not technically a pull type mower nor was it 3 point hitch because like yours the 66 did not have 3 point hitch. It fastened(I think) directly to the draw bar cradle by some kind of proprietary hitch that Oliver made. It had what I would call "dolly" wheels or 360 degree swivel wheels on the back of the mower. I'm trying to remember this from nearly 40 years ago.
And I looked at him, but I was smart then, I said first of all, I said when I tell you to get off the board you get off the board, and I’ll kick you out again 🤣🤣🤣
This was a great video. I really love hearing the stories about a tractors history. I love the Golden Jubilee Ford tractor. We had Ford and Ferguson/ Massey Ferguson tractors when I was a kid. Now we mostly Deere one New Holland, and an IH 1650 garden tractor on the farm. The MF 165 is the tractor that would be the last to go on this farm. Any advantage to Oliver having the unloading auger swing forward instead of backward like other brands at that time that made combines?
Thanks! The 525 and 535 had a shorter auger and they folded forward. All the other models folded backwards. I assume that it was just so you could unfold it without climbing down.
Thanks Ross! I enjoyed the show😊 Im sure glad you included the 2020 and naa, you got to show your diversity. My tractors are all IH but I have a rainbows 🌈 worth of implements. Also I'm glad to hear you have a 4 row head foe the 7300, I was worried after all the horsing around with it you wouldnt get to play with it. Is your 64 drill a 8 foot or a 10 I can't tell. Now that I'm done haying, maybe I'll email you the pics of my drill and plows, I'll have some play time here for a bit I hope it rains though. Keep up the good work👍Thanks for the entertainment.
Thanks for the tractor show and your information along with the equipment. What made you decide that Oliver was the brand that you decided that you wanted to collect/use? Also if Oliver/White was not available, what other brand would you have possibly taken an interest in collecting instead?
My dad has a hay crimper like that but it's rubber on steel rolls. It was my grandpa's and I don't remember seeing another one in our area so it a piece I don't want to let get away. I would like to find an oliver mower with a hitch to hook it to. I bought a tractor that came with an 82 mower but the mower doesn't have a hitch. I need to keep my eyes open for a parts machine that has a hitch maybe
@rosstheoliverman we haven't used it for over 15 years. The nice thing is you can store them with the hitch up in the air so they don't take up much room. It has white wheels so I'm guessing it's from the 3 digit Era? I was thinking about digging it out this year to try it out but I didn't have time. Maybe next year 😆
Its them Baby mama's calling to see about that increase in child support ......Or if your going to mow the trailer park little Leroy keeps getting ticks. And Congratulations on winning first place in your show lol
Ross, you mentioned something about a garden tractor at the 47 minute mark. Other than that Sears rig you brought home, do you have any garden tractors in your collection? Big Cub Cadet fan here 🙂
That was a great walk around Ross,I know you probably dont need another tractor I would like to see you get your hands on a row crop 70 Oliver ,awesome collection happy 4th of July to you

It’s probably a 137 if it has rubber. I think they’re kind of neat because a lot of them got scrapped.
🤣🤣🤣
Happy 4th July Ross I joy your video
Thanks Donald!!! Happy 4th to you as well!
Go to red power round up some time you will be thoroughly impressed
Yeah, I wish I had time to go to more shows.
Ross, you mentioned something about a garden tractor at the 47 minute mark. Other than that Sears rig you brought home, do you have any garden tractors in your collection? Big Cub Cadet fan here 🙂
I’ll probably have 30+ garden tractors mostly walk behinds.
That was a great walk around Ross,I know you probably dont need another tractor I would like to see you get your hands on a row crop 70 Oliver ,awesome collection happy 4th of July to you
I have two Rowcrop 70’s. I like to find a Hart Parr 70.
You probably wish you was smart enough to sell it all lol and that’s why dad and I have 12 tractors LOL
🤣🤣🤣
Add some finish protection while maintaining all that patina with the vice grip garage 'shine juice' th-cam.com/video/HD7AvQZoYcU/w-d-xo.html
I’ve seen that stuff that he sells I need to try it.
Tell Ross it’s a hay rake not a tillage tool
Tell ‘em is what I meant
Some people try to use it as a tillage tool 🤣
