Thank you everyone who watched my Faroe Island series! I’ve put a lot of thought into making this video so I hope you find it useful! If you have any questions, leave me a comment! Thank you for watching❤
Incredible video Luke! This is the most thorough and well explained video of the Faroe Islands I have witnessed on TH-cam! Your itinerary is so well explained, I hope you continue with these types of videos for us!
Dude! I've been looking forward to this one. Right from the first shots with that narration... I knew this was gonna be one of your best ever videos! The views look insane and I can see why hiring a car is an absolute must! Absolutely brilliant footage and info in this one mate. Great stuff!
Thank you so much!! Took me a while to get this done but I hope it serves people as a guide! The car is a musttt! Yes you can get around with public transit but there are sooo many overlooks you’ll want to stop at and car gives you all the freedom! Roads are well maintained so not an issue!
Thanks so much Bob! This is something new I am trying. After making daily videos from my trip, I plan to make videos like this summarizing the entire trip 😁
Love this video! You did such an excellent job organizing and compiling it. I’ll definitely refer back to it if I ever get a chance to go to the Faroe Islands! They look gorgeous 😍 beautiful footage as well 🙌
Thanks SO much! I really hope it helps people out! Spent a lot of time and research to be able to put together all the useful information into one video:)
Thank you Archuro! Nope! I try not to fly over people or someone’s property and I read up on rules of the country I’m visiting. I know one place I couldn’t fly near was the airport - understandably so
I sure was! Only few showers here and there that didn't disrupt the trip one bit! I visited the first week of September but July through late August would probably be the best time to visit, in my opinion.
@@alexandercityuni That means a lot Alex! It takes a lot of time to get these videos from start to finish so it's really nice to hear positive feedback!
A well put together Vlog, keep it up! What kind of backpack do you use? It looks like the Warndrd Prvke? If it is, which size is that one, and do you recommend it for photo gear?
Thank you! Yes it is, this one is a size 31L, it feels big, if you’re going to be doing lots of city/hiking - this is a good size! I do like it, it has a divider inside where i can put my drone/camera/accessories! I have had this for about 3 years and enjoy it
@yasserxk8720 people are kind but keep to themselves. It is a VERY safe country, they dont even have jails🤷🏼♂️ I had no problems but I would say make sure to check bus/ferry schedule so you can plan accordingly
It’s incredible! Keep an eye out for changes as I know some hikes are now paid that WERENT when i visited! I used mainly gopro with a combination of my sony camera
Thank you for this video. One question: when was your trip? Which month? If I go there in the middle of September, do you think it is still possible to see some puffins? Thanks
Glad you liked the video! My trip was first week of September and all the puffins were gone! They usually come to mate in may and stay through August. By September, they are all gone
Faroe Island is truly unspoiled. After you visit Iceland, you will be mind blown how few people you will encounter. I visited in early September but I recommend you visit July - August for little bit of better weather and chance to see Puffins!
at 10:02, the sign. are motorbikes or motorcycles (the slower ones like 50ccm) or bikes not allowed? which one is it because im going on motorbike next year ^^ also for the subseatunnels, can i drive with my motorbike? i hope so
You can ride motorcycles in Faroe Islands. I did not come across any restrictions. I also did not see many motorcyclists throughout my stay so you may be lonely there
It depends on which hikes. I can tell you that Drangarnir Sea Stack you have to book in advance and they only offer it Wednesday/Saturday/Sunday. The only other hike i had to pay for was in Saksun and you can pay with CREDIT Card. I don’t know about having to pay for any others but bring some cash JUST IN CASE:) I hope this helps
@@sergiosantander1168 you’re welcome! My biggest suggestion is to rent a car! It’s not as expensive as you may think, and the freedom to travel wherever you want is great
Not all of them but Drangarnir, Lake Above the Ocean, Saksun and I heard recently Kallur Lighthouse requires a fee. I would verify on visitfaroeislands.com
I understand your frustration but these are private lands. I look at it this way - im happy that we get to see these places and that they’re not closed off completely

Very nicely shot, how are hotel jobs there?
I would think it’s seasonal. Tourism really slows down after september/october and starts again in april/may

I didn't see any motorcycles on the islands. Not a good idea?
Now that you mention it, I have not seen ANY! But you can still drive them on the islands, the roads are nicely paved all over the country!
how did you pay on the hikes over private property? can you just use a credit card or do you have to carry cash? I am visiting this next April:)
