I feel like the arrival of the King Killer Star would make for an interesting campaign. Would even give an excuse as to why the players are fighting Metallic as well as Chromatic. Massive groups of raging Dragon kin all over the world causing an end of the world scenario that the players only real option is to survive through.
In the next video, don't forget to mention the Starkiller Gun that the dragons built underneath the Hills of the Seven Lost Gods to shoot down the King-Killer Star, but that misfired into the moon, and created the Tears of Seluné and the Moonsea. XD

Typically the magic that goes beyond what's possible in the PHB is "story magic" which PCs don't get access to. We played some high-level campaigns over the years and nobody ever wove mythal or anything. All the really strong magic I remember seeing in modules, sourcebooks, boxed sets, etc. was old and in-place, you just have to deal with it when you encounter it, but you don't get to pick it up and go around slaying with it.

so many people ask why fantasy settings always seem technologically stagnant despite the massive gaps in time between the stories you see or play, things like the Dragons Rage curse the elves gave them, would pretty much explain it easy, hard to develop wheel in the first place, now do it every few centuries over and over again because the spicy geckos went loopy
In the FR the goods decide what technology can work at what time. If you brought a car or a radio from earth into the FR it would simply not function because the gods don’t allow it.

Huh, so WotC is choosing to sponsor the community directly now eh? It’s a good move in terms of attempting to restore the communities trust and goodwill.
But, it is assumed that the continents were separated after the First Sundering when the elves created the island of Evermeet during The First Flowering in -17,600 DR, not when the Tearfall occurred, with Asgorath launching the meteorite on the planet and creating The Sea of Falling Stars during the Days of Thunder in -31,000 DR and all that stuff. That's why the elf Durothil called Faerûn "the one land" when they arrived to Toril, because the land was still "one land".
What did that mean the female blue dragon that's living in the desert that has a whole army of gargoyles golems where essentially just destroy everything she had at some point. so many people ask why fantasy settings always seem technologically stagnant despite the massive gaps in time between the stories you see or play, things like the Dragons Rage curse the elves gave them, would pretty much explain it easy, hard to develop wheel in the first place, now do it every few centuries over and over again because the spicy geckos went loopy
In the FR the goods decide what technology can work at what time. If you brought a car or a radio from earth into the FR it would simply not function because the gods don’t allow it.
My favorite video to refer people to as an intro to the DND world. Fantastic work
Mrrhexx and Forgotten Realms history series... is it Christmas?!... I can't wait for more! The FR world is full of awesome lore, history, stories and characters and we need more videos like this one - containing as much as possible information, presented in a nice, simple, structured and engaging way. Your videos are absolutely the top!
Ok, I get it was wotc saying this, but getting the players hand book was in fact, one of my best life decisions
Awesome, can you make the same video about Greyhawk? That would be lovely! :)
The dracorage is pretty dumb. Enraged dragons would not only destroy themselves but Elves, and Humans as well. This idea is so stupid, I have no words to explain why they thought it made sense in the first place.
I’d be interested to see this kind of video for other campaign settings
Thanks for another great video. You overall work is one of the best source for DMing in Forgotten Realms.
Would you be willing doing videos about iconic characters, like Bruenor, Catti-brie, Wulfgar and many others?
I'm trying to recreate some of them for 5e, and I'm sure you have detailed information that can help with that ;)
I'm new to DnD so can ya'll tell me...
Is this the most comprehensive vid about the creation myth on YT? Bc I can't find anything nearly as detailed/illuminating as this
04:20 is when the video starts. nice.
Did you do a video on Themberchaud? Or did I miss a mention in a different video? If not can you do one on the chubby dragon?
I love how you explained Magic and High Magic! I feel like I finally understand magic.
Accepting a WotC sponsorship after the OGL debacle is crazy 😂
I needed that so bad, I’ve been doing so much research on the history oh that world, especially the ancient times covered here, but never managed to find something that easy to follow.
Woohoo, that was me! 😁 Thank you for the input on how you'd handle travel!
great video! :)

11:48 Asgorath: “I’m gonna do what’s called a ‘Pro Gamer Move’...”
Everybody: “u wat m8?”
Asgorath: “#YOLO”
Everybody: “Bruh...”
Asgorath: “Hehe. ^_____^”
(A few minutes later...)

All it took was for Mr Rhexx to do a video on pathfinder to get a panic sponsorship from WoC
havent even seen a minute yet but I am so grateful, thank you so much for all the effort!!!
love your vids theyre always so well researched and give me inspiration
Cool see wizard finally support the comunity. Loved the video btw, as usual.
The LeShay were the first fey (extremely powerful) & a creator race; some say creator race to other fey & elves on Toril. * At the very least, they inspired the "first flowering - elven migration to Toril from the fey wild."
Fantastic stuff as always!!
So glad this wasn’t an April Fools!
Looking forward to the other videos!
Huh, so WotC is choosing to sponsor the community directly now eh? It’s a good move in terms of attempting to restore the communities trust and goodwill.
Absolutely amazing thank you for this HUGE chunk of lore dude.
Excelent! So much information that I have forgot and even not know in my 35 year book reading about Abeir-Toril! Thanks for this great effort!!!
Cool vid!
Would be cool to put the artist's names you use on the images though :)
Great video first one in a while I'm actually checking everyday for part 2
Welcome back, my king of lore and knowledge
For anyone thinking about buying the handbook, I actually saw it was on sale for 17 usd right now, instead of the usual 26!
I'm actually surprised how much I already knew, and i bet 1/3 thanks to our MrRhexx guy.
Another good one. Love Lore stories
Well... I know nothing of forgotten realms... so this helps.
Great to have you back!
This was great! Can you do one about Eberron next?
Thanks for the great video. Interesting that WotC is directly sponsoring TH-cam creators.
That magic analogy is top teir
But, it is assumed that the continents were separated after the First Sundering when the elves created the island of Evermeet during The First Flowering in -17,600 DR, not when the Tearfall occurred, with Asgorath launching the meteorite on the planet and creating The Sea of Falling Stars during the Days of Thunder in -31,000 DR and all that stuff.
That's why the elf Durothil called Faerûn "the one land" when they arrived to Toril, because the land was still "one land".
Humans actually created their own brand of mythal (Elvish high magic) called mythallar
I'd love a video at some point on some of the less-visited continents of Toril, like Zakhara or Maztica (but especially Zakhara...)
MrRhexx, I love your videos and I plan on doing something similar for my own setting, though I doubt I could do it as well as you.
You have no idea how cool these videos are, excelent content❤
As always MrRhexx, I absolutely love your stuff. Great video.
The Awaited Return of The King
What did that mean the female blue dragon that's living in the desert that has a whole army of gargoyles golems where essentially just destroy everything she had at some point. As well as the twin black dragons of the swamp, wouldn't they slaughter each other and last but not least, the lynch dragon that's hiding away. Learning more spells wouldn't he go crazy too?
