Absolutely brilliant! I thought I'd have to buy a new integrated machine but all it needed was shown on this video. I'm a 75 year old woman and even I could understand it. Just wonderful! Thankgoodness my sisrer advised me to check out problems via TH-cam. Well done the young man in this video. From a grateful pensioner in Dundee, Scotland. xx
Great advice. The repair guy said it is the pump and ordered one. I drained the water out and found all kinds on junk and a rag blocking the drain. Works great again!!! Thanks a million!!!
Thanks alot, I did exactly what you demonstrated and my washing machine is working just fine now. You saved me lots of money. Much appreciated. Zama from China.
You saved the day and probably a new washer! Never even knew it had a filter! Took it out, full of grit, 2 coins, 2 hair bands, one was wrapped around the pump cog, had to pull it out of it! Plenty of towels needed!! Now our washer is working again! Fabulous! Thank you so very much :-))
Spent half a day checking error codes and running diagnostics, cleaned pump filter housing, but did not work, suspected it was a problem With the door lock on our zannussi zwf16070w1, BUT THEN i i came across your video, I cleaned pump housing as per your instructions , with machine tilted at an angle and drained excess water, and now running again, Thank you so much for the help
Thank you very much @word of advice. I couldn’t believe it, after doing this, my washing machine that I have abandoned for two months started working! Amazing! Thank you again.
After I already watched, close to a dozen of videos, with same topic, so far, your video is the best, like always. Thank you for keeping up with your high quality explanations. Great teaching talent always comes from a gift of God. Many blessings to you and to your business!
I always wondered what that little door at the bottom was for! It’s our first time with a front load. Of course I had to check the filter, but ours is new enough it didn’t have much (yet)! Great video!
Great video. Informative, precise, and entertaining. I like making old appliances work again and come to life when people give up on them or discard them. Sometimes the fixes aren't too bad. The cost of the part is how I weigh whether or not it's worth fixing.
My washing machine was just making a buzzing noise and tge drum is not rotating nor the water flowing... cleaned the filter... worked as magic... thanks man
Bro, thank you!!!!!! I was a bit skeptical at first but it sorted the issue..£1 coin stuck in the filter. You've saved me some serious money. Thanks again!!! All the the way from the UK baby 👍
I thought it was utterly broken. I was literally 10 minutes away from calling the mechanic....I did this and now its working perfectly. Thank you so much!!@
Life saver and money 💵 saver!!! Thank you for saving me from throwing my money down the drain. Easy and quick fix. Thank you for the informative video! Subscribed!
Good morning from Houston, Texas. The video information / advice regarding the front load drain and filter was absolutely correct. The tip on tilting the washer back excellent, there was more water than I expected. After clearing the filter the washer started operating. Initially, I had gone to the online manuals and the codes indicated out of balance; after following the suggestions without success, the last suggestion was to call for either telephone diagnostics and or a repairman. I watched two TH-cam vides before finding yours; and decided to check the filter...Thank you. I will also check out your various advice videos.
Anytime my front loader has ever glitched, it is the drain. Once, a child gave me a small shell (I’m a teacher) and I left it in my pocket. The shell had wedged itself in the little blade that pushes the water out. The second time, I made the mistake of being cheap and diluted my liquid soap. I had to drain and reset. My son is an engineer and he always says, “look for the most simplistic thing and work up the ladder and stay calm”. Both times I fixed it myself. The hardest part was moving the washer/ dryer combo out from the wall and cleaning up the water spillage as my front loader gives no clearance between the drain and the floor. I wish someone would install lockable wheels on these machines- it sure would make life so much easier.
Great video thanks. My great grandfather repaired washing machines during the Great Depression. His job had such good job security that he was the only man in his local church to own a car. Whereas my other great grandfather lost apartment buildings and properties and was reduced to little. So having this skill is valuable
Thank you so much!!! I hate to admit that I was not aware of the filter. My machine was at the point where it would'nt do anything. So, I followed your instructions (and yes it was full), put it all back together again and when I started the washer it was working again!!
Jay --- Also check the drain hose coming out the back of the washer! Mine was filled with some gunk - maybe because the tube had a dip (like a trap) before looping up into the wall hole. It became completely plugged so the point that my drain motor & impeller broke. After cleaning the drain hose (with a dryer lint brush --- that's some irony there!) and some dawn soap, it is now perfectly clear. Bought a new drain motor for $18 on Amazon and replaced it myself. All is good now!
The title image solved it for me. My washer was rocking by 3/8 of an inch. So it would spin to medium speed, be unable to balance the load due to frame wobble, then never spin to full speed. When we bought the washer used it came with that foot missing and the stated condition of being unreliable. This is the first time for me in 5 years that it was unreliable. Sticking a piece of gravel from the driveway under that corner fixed it. Now to get an actual foot with a lock nut.
Thanx sooooo much l was looking for a new washer as mine just stopped and wouldn’t rinse and l came across your channel so l thought l would have a go so l followed your instructions and emptiededs. I can’t wait to tell my husband.thankyou🌈🌈😷 it and took out the gunge and it is working perfect 😄 you have saved me hundreds
My washer was spinning twice then the door kept unlocking. Decided to try this and ended up with a whole bunch of water coming out. Drained it and clean the filter a bit, which wasn’t too bad. Washer works fine now. Didn’t have to bother my condo maintenance man. Thanks!
You gave the best advice from all the other videos I watched. Panels, sensors and all that technical stuff but you gave practicle troubleshooting advice. Thank you! I have no idea how much money you saved me but thank you!!
Word of Advice TV Jay I was somewhat expecting you to release or announce the vaccine (heresy I know) for Coronavirus. Given you have all other world problems and challenges figured out, I’m surprised you don’t have a release on this Coronavirus. Maybe you’re saving that for a future video or working closely with President Trump in flowing that out to the American public.
Hahaha, I actually wanted to post a video on the topic but it's best for my channel if I don't.. Especially since TH-cam is demonetizing coronavirus videos and flagging channels that post on the topic. I think there is enough stuff already out there so no need to put my channel on the red list :)
Word of Advice TV Interesting. There are maybe a few different ways to try and understand the motives there (both good and bad). None the less, good decision! I’m sure you have some interesting thoughts on the topic. Good thing is that you work in an industry that is relatively sheltered from the economic impacts. I don’t think you do new installs so you might see no change at all from a demand perspective. Aerospace - talk about changes! Impacts hit pretty quickly! Good job on surviving the apocalypse so far!
@@holtrussell Thanks for supporting my decision! :) I may actually make a video on some of the things I bought in light of current events though. Want to share some of the trinkets I got and would be curious to know what all everybody else got. (Hopefully toilet paper wont dominate the comments... Sigh) Yes, luckily I am in a good industry when things like this happen and I can also enjoy making videos if I will be stuck at home haha. I have a feeling the apocalypse is still in it's early beginning stage though... If this will be a global economic collapse, crap will hit the fan. Hard. I hope you and family stay well and healthy! Keep calm and don't join the panic party :)
Too bad the engineers that design these appliances design them have problems with time. You shouldn't have to take your washer apart to access these filters and make them work.
100 percent! But that’s just how the world works now a days. A .10 cent part is keeping the company from making another sale. Because if the customer doesn’t know how to fix or someone who doesn’t have the time they will just get a new one. And 10 of 10 most of the time they will buy the same company appliance for whatever reason (color matching, function layout, etc.)
@David McKinney By the way, I was going to answer one of your comments from a few days ago but it disappeared and I can't seem to find it.. :/ Just wanted to at least let you know that I saw it and thank you for sharing some of your background info on how your dad battled with cancer and how your brother does not really like to come to the house along with many other things. You have an interesting history! Not always happy times but a full life nonetheless.
@David McKinney Ahh I see! Now I know what happened to that comment thread :) Thank you for explaining and I am only happy that I have the opportunity to make your day better! Good to have you on my channel! May there be many other things coming your way that will make you feel better!
@David McKinney A TH-cam buddy! That's a new term that might just catch on :) I thank you for all the kind words!! You seem like a great guy yourself too!
GREAT VIDEO. I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL DUET SPORT FRONT LOADER AND HAVE REPLACED THE WATER INLET VALVE, PREASURE SWITCH, AND DRAIN PUMP. STILL NOT GETTING THE COLD WATER TO WORK, THE CLEAN WASHER CYCLE, AND THE RINCE SPIN CYCLE WONT WORK. WHAT AM i OVERLOOKING?

I did this for the first time due to slow drain. Pulled out coins, lint and a sock. Drains perfectly now. thank you so much!
Thanks for recommending this fix. It worked instantly...whereas as a technician would've charged me just to inspect! Thanks again for your help.
You just saved us a lot of money and time and frustration! Thank you so much! I cleaned it out and it runs like new. Never knew about that filter.
