    Its been planted outside of my apartment and used as a hedge to which isnt my favorite for that use but still is very pretty blue full and hardy!

    It grows back just fine. Where I live zone 9a it dies back every year in winter after a hard frost and come back in March like weed no problem. The frost controls its size for me. It even came back after Texas freeze , when a lot of very hardy plants have died . I think it will do fine in zone 7 in a protect area because it comes back like a herbaceous perennial every year
