My partner and I have been following your sprinter videos for a few months now ever since we bought our very own sprinter for conversion. We both live and work across a few of the places you showed in this video and were surpised to see things we never knew were right on our doorstep. Thank you for all the vidoes!
Ah wow that’s great to hear, it’s so funny how you can discover new stuff on your doorstep, we find that happens to us too when looking through other peoples’ eyes. Good luck with the build, hope it’s going well!
Great videos! You can get fried snickers at moores chipshop in castle douglas, they will fry any chocolate and it's better than blue lagoon and cheaper 😉
Love watching your videos, always so upbeat and make me laugh. Hopefully I'll get to Scotland in the next couple of years, part of my heritage and I would love to see it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it. Scotland is part of our heritage too actually (surname McAlister) so we love going there and exploring that. We hope you get there soon 😊
Hi just found this post great video. A bit of information. The black hut at Carelton used to be lived in by a local fisherman. Carleton had salmon fishing nets just a few metres from the beach.
Did a back to back on your van transformation yesterday.. love it.. Sarah is a brilliant. One of my favourite conversations, I was looking to put them panels on in my wet room, I’ve changed my mind after watching your stress..Sarah is brilliant..love it.. 👏🏻❤️
So glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the panels are great but were quite difficult to install. Although someone who fits them for a living made a comment on that video that the more expensive and thicker panels are much easier to install. We’ve also had people suggesting that the single sheets are easier. Good luck whatever you choose! 😀
Hari OM There are soooo many recipes for deep fried snickers online - just go ogle... I for one have never attempted the DFMB and as a Scot I can tell you, I don't know anyone who has!!! A crazy invention for those crazy Sasenachs, maybe? This was a gorgeous film of all those places of yesteryear - your 'vintage' feelings are not wrong. I live in such a place, but there is no denying the faded charm. It is sad, though, that so many such places do face closed shops - even more since COVID. Glad to hear you would like to visit again... but you need to seek out and buy some of the extra-fine netting created specifically for midges; it resembles your mum's old nylons! YAM xx
Sorry for the delayed reply! You're absolutely right about the snickers!! Don't think we'll be attempting it any time soon though 😆 It's definitely sad about the closed shops but we genuinely loved Girvan and would 100% go back. We also met some of the friendliest, funniest, most welcoming people we've come across there. We really hope these kind of places manage to get back to their former glories once covid is over. We're definitely getting some of that netting before our next visit! Midges are no Joke! Hope you're well 😊
Anyone else tried a battered Mars Bar?! Would you? Could you?
I'm with Sarah, ...a deep-fried snickers has possibilities
Yeah for sure!
I tried a deep fried Oreo cookie once 🤢
Definitely - it is on my bucket list.
Definitely your sweet choice is the best. Lovely scenery too.
Haha, glad you agree on the sweets 😊

Great having you guys back on a Sunday. Loved the leather steering wheel by the way ;)
Ah thank you. I did try and buy a leopard print steering wheel cover but Sar was having none of it 😅
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing Thank God she won that one ;)

Hi Sarah and James, nice to see you out and about in your van. A greeting guys. Arrivederci
Thank you very much! Arrivederci 😊
Scotland would be perfect if it wasn't for the midges..and deep fried mars bars!. Another fabulous vlog people. Happy travels x
Agreed! We’re not fans of either… either 🤣 Thank you 😊
Battered pickled onion is a thing here. A like a mars bar but fried is horric lol!
Battered pickled onion sounds like it could be alright to be fair!
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing Aye supringly good.
Gonna try and find some for sure 😀
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing 🤣
If it’s not fried it’s not chow. Great video
Haha that saying will be the death of us 😅
What month of the year was this filmed guys please
This was back in July 👍
Cool cheers, we're finishing our own build in a xlwb iveco daily and planning to follow your Scotland 300 route all the way from sunny Norfolk 🌞
Ah amazing. It will be a fair bit more than 300 from Norfolk! But it’s a really incredible part of the country so well worth the trip up. Enjoy 😊
What steering wheel cover is that 🙏
You were in Ayr and didn't mention or go to see Robert Burns birthplace!

Ever video showing the baby bump growing is fun since we know it's a girl!😉
Yeah doing these ones retrospectively is fun for us too, lovely memories 😊
There must be a device that will get rid of pesky flies for campervans. Make a fortune..
You managed to ruin this with your left wing politics, it was a road trip but you completely fecked it .
