It's so wild because I stop to think about it... and we're about to hit half the decade! Damn it, it seemed like yesterday that we were starting 2020 not knowing what we were about to dive into
Yes so many books and not enough time (I'm in college😭). For me, I'm just focused on finishing some more series. I have few I want to close out the year with. Might start one or two as well. I've been wanting to read "The Poppy War" and "Daughter of No Worlds".
OKAY-so I read Dark Matter two weeks ago. Instant 5 star. I highlighted so much, it truly changed me. I made my husband read it and it was a 5 star for him too-it is now one of our top reads. You HAVE to read it asap!
I read Somewhere Beyond the Sea back in September and I LOVED it. I highly recommend listening to the audiobook because the performance was Oscar worthy, my jaw was on the floor and I nearly teared up at times over it. I’m actually finally gonna read Eleanor Oliphant tomorrow! I’ve been wanting to read that for over a year now lol
I'm currently reading A Discovery of Witches and loving it!! I haven't watched the TV show yet but plan to once I finish the series to see how different it is.
I’ll get to Dark Matter when I can find a hardcover copy. I really enjoyed Recursion by Blake Crouch as well. I’ve also got a copy of Upgrade by him to get to.
1. I definitely agree with Magnolia Parks lol the writing is just so poetic. I highlighted quite a bit! its an enormous emotional rollercoaster but nonetheless entertaining. 2. you NEED to read Dark Matter lol I mentioned it before and i still stand by this!!!!
"Between shades of Grey" by Ruta Sepetys is a gripping historic novel about Soviet occupation and deportation of Lithuanians. Such a heart wrenching story. You will definitely like this book.
Love your videos! I’ve had to shift my tbr because after watching your video, I read Strange Sally Diamond and OMG 🫨🫠🫣 lol! So now I need something light and fluffy 🤣But most of my books are thrillers. So off to Barnes we go! 😂💸
I keep going back and forth on if I want to pick up Magnolia Parks… really interested to hear what you think. I’m worried it’ll be too much like reality tv here in the uk… which I’m not too keen on 😅
Not to burst your bubble, but A discovery of witches is nothing like Twilight ahahah it's one of my favorite series ever, it's amazing and you should ABSOLUTELY read it, but don't start it thinking there will be similarities with Twilight or you could be disappointed
Murakami is such a great author. I wouldn't go in thinking he's a problematic author though. Japanese society and culture are much different that he is the US and that book in particular was written in the 80s when Japanese culture was much different. A lot of his books are also coming of age stories about young boys who are finding themselves, and boys just think and say weird things. I usually recommend people star with Wind Up Bird Chronicle, I'm about to read it for a third time, or Hard-Boiled Wonderland. Kafka on the Shore is another amazing books. I would recommend all 3 of them before Norwegian Wood. My two cent. Whichever way you go, his writing is amazing, and has gotten better over time.
When will your next Barnes shop vlog be?:) id love the shopping and piano part to be super long hehe so satisfying. But whenever works as I know u got your tbr:) just excited! Hehe
Magnolia Parks is good but I couldn’t finish the third book. It got to toxic and repetitive by the third book. Like either y’all are going to be together or you’re not. Same for Daisy.
Oh no! I realy wanted to try the other books. Props to you for getting through the first four. I finished book 1 and felt the same way. I am a BJ hater until I die. I'm so confused as to why people like him.
8:01 truer words haven't been spoken. I was thinking about all the books I have to read and the ones that are yet to be released and I was like "we definitely need more hours in a day, like many an extra 10 hours just for reading"
You should've started 'Dark Matter ' last month gurl!!! Love this book, and am currently on my Blake crouch train, reading recursion by him now! ❤❤😂😂😂 P.S.- *COUGH* still waiting for a 'the joy luck club' reading and watching vlog😌😌 *cough, cough*
Well, Magnolia Parks is definitely polarising. And I'm going to be real here; I am definitely a hater 😅 All I can say is good luck, and don't let it ruin your Christmas 😉 Dark Matter sounds really good, though! I also loooooove Murakami so much! He is one of my all time favourite authors. He's not really that problematic considering he comes from a different culture and just doesn't quite fit with Western ideas on certain things, but he has such a gentle and loving and introspective style. He is a gem. (Also I would argue Magnolia Parks is waaaaaaaaaay more problematic towards women, and almost romanticises terribly sexist behaviour from BJ, so just a final jab at that book, I'm sorry 😂😂😂)
Most definitely agree with your "Magnolia Parks" take. It's one thing to love it for the sake of entertainment (to each their own on that one). But for this to be marketed as a love story is so perplexing to me. That book is a great example of what NOT to strive for.
Did you read "they both die at the end"?😢 Or did you read " heartless" by Marissa Meyer ?😢❤ Those are my favourite bookkkkksss You should read them pleasee😢
Hey Friend, Happy Thursday. I agree I love books that help you heal in some way or you can relate to the book or others/not the only one going through a situation. I have been in so many toxic relationships that I got to the point that I can relate to a lot of toxic relationship story lines. Luckily I moved on from each person and learned something new about each relationship that helped me in my current one which is healthy and happy. 😊🥰 🎃👻
Hello girl. I hope that you're having a great day . I really want to recomend u a book and it's "SILVER IN THE BONE " by Alexander Bracken ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I just love this book.
When you said 2025 is quickly approaching my brain instantly went to “2025???? It was just 2019” 2025 just sounds so far away.
It's so wild because I stop to think about it... and we're about to hit half the decade! Damn it, it seemed like yesterday that we were starting 2020 not knowing what we were about to dive into

Dark Matter!!!! YES. 1000% YES. I'm slowly becoming a science fiction girlie because of this book. I recommend it to EVERYONE!
I want to catch up on The Stormlight Archive before book 5 in December, and I'm currently almost halfway in book 3, so I have a bit to go yet haha
