Your smile is contagious, you never play smart showing of your book knowledge, you are humble, smiley and your excitement about books makes us happy too sweet book princess❤❤❤
Mitch Albom is such a wonderful author. You should pick up some of his other books for sure. I am from his hometown and have been lucky enough to meet him (he came into the restaurant I worked at and I was his server) and he was such a kind soul. I also heard him speak at a conference and he actually has an orphanage in Haiti where he regularly goes and cares for the kids. So cool!!
My favorite uncle passed away from ALS. He was so much fun, and we would celebrate Veterans Day together. I'm going to read Tuesdays with Morrie in honor of him in November as a celebration of Veterans Day, ALS sufferers and non-fiction November. Thank you for selecting this book Khalila 💙😢
Hey Friend, Happy Sunday. I absolutely love your book challenges and seeing how well you do with them. 😊 I agree there’s something beautiful about reading outside. I agree we all should put a cap on self pity but it’s so hard to move forward and pause our self pity in difficult situations. 😢 I absolutely love the types of books that teach us life lessons. I can’t believe you were able to read 7 books in a week, you’re so dedicated and it’s beautiful to watch. I agree audio books help us read more. 😊🥰
"i don't know what i would rate this" seems to be a normal experience after reading ocean LOL It ended up being 5 stars after i couldn't stop thinking about it days after i finished it
Cool, I'm reading Carmilla right now! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I'll play devil's advocate for Mrs Dalloway for a second - it's not a favourite book of mine by any means, but when you said you were planning to read it in a day, I winced, lol. I don't think it's possible to enjoy it that way. It's one of those books that need to be read slowly and really absorbed, so I highly recommend returning to it in a couple years when you have some time to sit with it. It doesn't seem as random once you pick up on parallels between Clarissa and Septimus and reflect on what those parallels might mean. I had the same reaction when I read it the first time, but then I studied it for a university course, and I came to appreciate the brilliance of it. ❤
I just bought The Vegetarian today because of your recommendation. Looking forward to getting stuck into it! That Neil Gaiman sounds so interesting also. Adding it to my list! I am subscribed to your channel. 🙂
I enjoyed this video as always. I read Tuesdays with Morrie about 20+ years ago while taking a Death and Dying class in college. It was very profound then and still sticks with me. The Five People You Meet in Heaven was good as well.
Thanks!! Reading Tuesdays with Morrie now!! I have THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE THE TIME WAR, excited for that one. I’ve also read What moves the dead- SO GOOD. Weirdly good. I’ve just purchased the second book, and Carmilla !!! I’m excited!
YOU NAILED IT on this vlog about spooky season reads. Such quality content! Those who did not watch this video don’t know how much they have missed!!!!
Do you mean House in the Cerulean Sea? Somewhere Beyond the Sea is the sequel to that one, and I would say it's the kind of sequel that stands on its own.
@ I love your channel & shopping / reading vlogs! I was just at target browsing the vinyl & book section and I was like hmm what would Khalilah get? 🤣😅
THE QUEEN POSTED GUYSSS The hair is hairing when I tell you, you look gorgeous, love your videos btw how about you do a reading stephen king for 24 hrs
Tuesdays with Morrie isn't on my TBR for this month but ill definitely see if i can squeeze it in🤭 Also I really loved this challenge, I don't know how you managed to read seven books in seven days 😂
I love a long novel but I need to get some short books in my collection 😅 I’ve seen so many people not finish the Time War book or didn’t like it, so it’s nice to hear a different opinion on it!
Always a great day when you post ☺️✨ I love listening to soundtracks when reading too!! Tim Burton soundtracks while reading "what moves the dead", but that's what i am gonna do!! Also the vegetarian was really good, it's hard to digest but it's not too scary
What a pretty sweater! If possible, can you link your hair care products. Mrs. Galloway is on my list to read. I want to thrift a copy. Enjoy your day happy reading 📚 😊
so with Mrs Dalloway, Woolf did "stream of consciousness" type of writing, and that might be why it feels so mundane and blah; it's meant to just be the thoughts of one particular character
Hiiii, great video! I wanna recomend to you an argentinian author that I love (i'm from Argentina so I'd really love if you read any book of her) she is Mariana Enriquez, she writes horror stories, her best books are those of short storys, hope you enjoy her xx sorry if the comment hasn't coherence, my english is not that good
Splendid Khalilah did you see that the Vegetarian won the Nobel Prize on Thursday?🏆🏆 When I heard it I remembered that you own that book and If you read it I would love a review😘😘
Would you ever re-read a book you rated low? Since you have read so many different books this year, it’d be interesting to see if your opinion changed.
Not even gonna talk about how your reddish brow. Sweater matches both the red-covered books in the background at the cafe, but also the shopgirl cover too?? It's like you planned it!
Tuesday’s with Morrie sounds good. It sounds like one of my fave books “When breath becomes air”.
I’ll check it out!
Same!! When breath becomes air is one of my top books.
Your smile is contagious, you never play smart showing of your book knowledge, you are humble, smiley and your excitement about books makes us happy too sweet book princess❤❤❤

yesss I love T Kingfisher!! She has awesome fantasy reads too! I'm so happy you liked
People may have asked this, but have you heard of/read Somewhere Beyond the Sea? I personally recommend it!
Do you mean House in the Cerulean Sea? Somewhere Beyond the Sea is the sequel to that one, and I would say it's the kind of sequel that stands on its own.
I’m new the booktube side of things (I’m getting back into reading). But I’ve been really enjoying your videos and book recommendations! 😁

Ooh, Carmilla is one of my faves and so is The Ocean at the End of the Lane. One of the weirdest books I've ever read!
Of course we want the same challenge over and over again 😻😻😻
The Vegetarian is weird but not scary. You should read it
I love a long novel but I need to get some short books in my collection 😅 I’ve seen so many people not finish the Time War book or didn’t like it, so it’s nice to hear a different opinion on it!

Added Tuesdays with Morrie to GoodReads TBR
If you loved Tuesday with Morrie, check out his other book Finding Chika 💔
Ha!! Nice. Vegetarian sounds crazy.
If you want to do this again i recommend 1922 by Stephen King because its 100-200 pages and it’s really good
so with Mrs Dalloway, Woolf did "stream of consciousness" type of writing, and that might be why it feels so mundane and blah; it's meant to just be the thoughts of one particular character
Just finished reading What Happened to Ruthy Ramirez, currently reading Big Swiss
