I served 6 years with my local National Guard Field Artillery Unit. I was the assistant gunner on a 105mm towed howitzer. Never been in a tank, but I've seen plenty of them, and I've looked inside a few of them. I would not want to fight inside a tank. I don't like the idea of being buttoned up like that. And alot of the guys that die in a tank, burn up. I have much respect for tank crews !

I worked with a bunch ofWW2 Tankers. Most of these guys were smaller in stature! I asked them if all tankers were smaller guys, their answer was those that survived were,We were able to bail out faster! The BRAVEST AND TOUGHEST INDIVIDUALS I EVER MET !

Just love personal accounts like these! We are loosing this living history at a great rate now and soon there will be no one left who actually fought in the war of liver through those times.
    That makes me very sad

all that my grandpa went through, and his generation, to have "the free world" turned into a dumpster fire, along with Germany, and Japan, building huge armies again, I guess this new, new world, will get to see what the guys saved us from. Germany is back! 3rd times the charm!
