- Today is the First Push Pull Trial of 12128 Pune Mumbai Csmt Superfast Intercity Express. At 20:52hrs, from Dadar, 12,700Hp AJNI WAP-7# 30579 and 30580 accelerate with 12128 Pune Mumbai Csmt Superfast Intercity Express on par with Mumbai Local Train. This is perhaps the best Express Train Acceleration I have seen and recorded till date.

OMG!!! I was travelling in the this same train. I knew that it had push pull AJNI WAP-7. The train accelerated like this on after stopping on stations and signals. I had seen it while boarding at Pune. I was in the AC CHAIR CAR coach. And i got down at Dadar. If i had known, you were there, i would had meet you.... unlucky for me i was not able to record this amazing rare thing.
And When train accelerate like this. You will be watching your bags and Stuffs going to CSMT and You in Dadar . 😂😂😂

2hrs 35mins is way too tight. Make TT to 2hrs 45mins still it will have an incredible average speed of 69.8kph with ghat section and also cruising through packed Mumbai suburban traffic.

Fantastic Acceleration . With our W.R. route almost saturated and trains running late because of T.S.R. and P.S.R. , the Push - Pull method can help trains achieve good speeds after starting from standstill .
I understand WR is saturated but has mild gradients and beyond Vadodara express traffic is way too less. Giving push pull is not ideal unless they want to bring 12951/12952 in 13hrs/14hrs both ways. Giving push pull to howrah rajdhani is ideal since it finds difficult in maintaining punctuality and also traffic on Howrah - delhi route is very very packed to capacity.
@@arzan1980 Is it possible with the sanctioned M.P.S. of 130 kmph and few bursts of 150 - 160 kmph that the time travel between Mumbai and Delhi can be cut down to around 13 or 14 hours ?

Thanks a lot. Mumbai rajdhani there are talks about push pull. DQ looks doubtful since it cannot skip karjat in down direction since lots of MST holders and lots of commuters reserve tickets in 2s, ac chair car too. Intercity halts at Karjat for banking purpose so push pull is ideal
@@arzan1980 but according to many officials the dq is scheduled to run in lhbfied version that too with push pull method and its own dining car from june 1 itself...what about it then??

I was on-board the first day of push-pull. When we left Pune I wasn't aware that the rake is being push-pulled. I saw the rear engine when I alighted at Thane. Then I realized why the train accelerated so brutally after Pune. trust me that acceleration after Pune was so damm good

Thanks a lot. Deccan queen with LHB will come in future but push pull looks doubtful. It has a official halt at Karjat in down direction. So it cannot skip Karjat. 12127 has a halt only for bankers. Thats why they have given push pull and from day 1 Intercity has been faster than DQ from the date it was introduced

Because of Dining Car in DQ. Currently there is Pantry Car in LHB but not dining car. So they have to refurbish pantry car which will take time. And as it is not LHB, Push-Pull can't be used I think.

Thanks a lot. It reached Csmt on time inspite of running 19mins late at Vangani. Ghats took lot of time. Pune - Lonavala was great and it was 2mins before time at Lonavala

@@arzan1980 Nice!! The ghat section is the most important factor.I don't understand why it takes time while descending because there's no other train in close range. The lesser time it takes to cover that section,the better it is.

It shud be adapted fr long run trains so that traveltime can be reduced. Prefer fr expresses like Sangamithra(ksr bengaluru- patna), howrah(ksr blr- howrah) which operates under SWR.
You are absolutely right. Long distance trains like kerala express are deserving or even chennai rajdhani is perfect. It can save 4hrs journey time

@@arzan1980 push pull will be only introduced if it has a cbc coupling since any derailing in this mode will cause toppling of coaches...

Push pull is to eliminate need of bankers thereby saving 15 to 20mins straightaway. Also it will save time at scheduled halts and tsrs too

what was touch down time at Dadar it never reaches before 9:00 though official time is 8:37 hope it did better with push pull

Push pull will be better anyday since it gets a better push from behind in accelerating better especially on steep gradients.
@@PrabhRailLover I realised now. T18 may accelerate better than pushpull from 0-130kph because of 4 pantos but I am curious to see whether it will need bankers on ghats or will it skip ghat section.

Thanks for sharing your experience, it halted at KJT since they have to remove signalling clearance for 12127. Since till date all trains have to halt at KJT in down direction, they have set signalling aspect to red. Should happen in a weeks time and then it will skip KJT

The scheduled time for Lonavala is 8:48 am bt it reached lonavla at 9:09 and covered a little time till Shivaji Nagar and i think it got a delay of 15 min till it reached Pune

Surely 80kph in the end or bit more. Wag9 with 19 coach garibrath achieved 70kph in the end. This is push pull. It will do way better
