Thanks so much! I've been always looking for resources to learn Cantonese. Very useful. My family is originally from HK, but I grew abroad and picked up Mandarin >_
Sometimes you also need to add 咗 zo2 after nam2 for past tense. For example, you are telling your friends that you have thought of several restaurants for dinner. ngo5 nam2 zo2 gei2 gaan1 caan1 teng1
I think this works so fast. My brain seems to be able to keep up! (I am trying to learn to be able to know what my future inlaws are saying about me at the Christmas party!😂🎉)
Hi Amanda! Ngo5 gok3 dak1 lei5 ge3 soeng5 tong4 zan1 hai6 hou2 jau5 jung6. 多謝嗮 I know in Cantonese there have many ways to say "think". For example, if I want to say " I thought you buy McDonald's, but you've got KFC" in this case I know, gok3 dak1 and nam5 also can't use. Now can't remember, but when I listen usually I would understand 😊 Could you please teach us that one too🙏Love your explanation, your lessons are so good and easy to understand. Thank you very much 🙏

Hey Amanda, would 'think' and 'thought' be just 'nam'? I.e. same thing but there's current tense and past tense...

For example, you are telling your friends that you have thought of several restaurants for dinner.
