Not sure of IFS officers, but we have so many IAS officers who cleared the exam after being a mother. Go through the story of Smt. Minnu Joshy from Trivandrum who cleared the exam this year.

Yes every ifs officer spent 2/3 of their life in aboard in famous cities and spend 1/3 of life in central delhi head quarters

Really ifs is more powerful..it want more marks than ias ranks..but today somedays all top rankers choose ias instead of ias...so now both are equally powerful and ias is more popular..
