    Thinking of getting a wowgo 2s instead of the x4 roadmaster just because of this feature. Cloud wheels, honey comb, or 90mm. The Versatility of wheels for a budget board is pretty cool.

      You can get Cloudwheels for pretty much any mass-production boards with lift kits - but go for the 2S Max if you must (or wait fir the next upgrade to the 2S line probably coming soon!)

    Since I ultimately decided to go with the Backfire G2 Black, over the WowGo 2S Pro (mostly because WowGo's U. S. warehouse won't have them in-stock for who-knows-how-l many-months, I didn't want to wait 2 months for a 'slow boat from China', I didn't want to pay an extra $121 for air shipping, and because Backfire still has better after-purchase support & customer service), I don't have the option of 120mm sleeves/donuts. Thankfully, I have a (fairly strong) feeling that I'll really like the 105s, and that they should be large enough.
    As for your weather...sorry. Out here in (usually-mostly) sunny California, we can do most outdoor sports - cycling, motorcycling, skating (roller & boards), etc, year-round. Maybe it's time to consider moving south, and west? Just an *idea*. 🤙

    • @SimonSaysCanada
      @SimonSaysCanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got a Backfire G3 and both the Cloudwheels and Honeycombs fit perfectly on it - but overall I prefer the 105mm. Go for that if you can!

    • @robbryan3044
      @robbryan3044 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SimonSaysCanada Regarding the WowGo Honeycomb sleeves, you indicate in the description, "specifically designed for the 2S Pro, but will fit any donut compatible boards". Have you actually tried fitting them onto other boards? I can see the possibility of them maybe fitting other boards using hub motors with a 5-bolt pattern (especially those using Hobbywing hub motors), but I'd assume such possibility becomes less likely with those using 3-bolt & 6-bolt patterns. What other boards have you tried fitting fitting the Honeycomb where onto, and determined/proven that they not only fit, but will actually work (properly) with? Also, what about grip (105mm CloudWheels vs 105mm Honeycombs) - has one proven itself better (ie. more grip) then the other?

    • @SimonSaysCanada
      @SimonSaysCanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @SimonSaysCanada

      105mm CW or Honeycombs are almost identical in terms of ride feel. CW are more premium and has some color choices if you’re into that - but I enjoy my honeycombs just fine.
      CW 120mm are just a bit too big fod the 2SMax in my opinion.

      @@SimonSaysCanada u could still feel the vibrations after changing to the honeycombs, right? I'm using the stock wheels and the vibrations is just too too bad I'm worried that it would destroy the motors in no time, I stopped using it. Gotta wait until I get either the hc or cw. I'm leaning more towards the 120 cw tho. how's the improvement going from stock to the hc? I know u said the rate of improvements stock > hc > cw are about the same. meaning if I go from stock to 120cw, its double the improvements overall?

    • @SimonSaysCanada
      @SimonSaysCanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer the 105mm on the 2S because the bigger wheels also take away some torque and speed. I have some world-class shitty asphalt up here, and the hineycombs are excellent at handling it. You can still feel some vibrations, but never as bad as the stock.

    Wait do you mean u can’t ride electrical skateboards when it’s snowing? I’ll be studying college in Rochester this year and I was wondering whether I should get a 2s max. The temperature there varies from 18f to 80f (-8c to 27c). What are your thoughts?

    • @SimonSaysCanada
      @SimonSaysCanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Anything less than the AT2 is pretty bad at handling wet conditions. The battery is not super-well protected and any splash has the potential to destroy your board (water + lithium = fire!). I wouldn’t trust the 2S Max on anything but the driest of conditions.
      Plus, those wheels tend to skid pretty badly on wet surfaces - I can’t imagine how dangerous it would be on fresh powder…
