I think Rob Liefeld was involved with two of them. Deadpool and Supreme. Liefeld created characters that most people didn't care that much about, and then other writers and artists gave us the versions most people actually enjoy reading.
I like this series. How about mystic. She showed up in a Miss Marvel book, and very subtle way, and became a major villain for all of marvel, especially the X-Men.
Funny how the '87 Justice League title doesn't get much respect (value wiae) even with character shaping issues like #18 --Plus a ton of classic covers starting with issue #1!!
Without doubt The Hawk And The Dove who started out as ridiculously, ludicrously, embarrassingly terrible characters, but who actually developed into…hmmm…ok never mind.
I read the title and I was like there couldn't have been that many missteps in comics and thought you couldn't get past three. I was wrong, great list! I would sub out Flash Thompson for Hank Henshaw though.
Lobo wasn't a bad first impression. It was a cool appearence on a book that wasnt super popular. He wasnt written w/ this huge expectation and hype. Having a slow build-up is different.
