Most TH-camrs when they release their episodes, could be months after the fact. It's refreshing to see that your episodes are almost real-time - relatively speaking. I appreciate the efforts you put into each and every episodes. The drone has certainly given you a new level of perspective - love it. Our Nelson Bay home is 5 mins walk to Bagnalls Beach. I'm one of the people who goes there walking their dogs when I visit my folks. 😁 Sux about the arm. All the best with it.
I have to agree with the comments saying how you have greatly improved your film making. These episodes are worth looking forward to. I am sure your subscriber numbers will keep increasing. Thank you for all the work that goes into the filming and editing of your videos.
Your videos are reaching another level Jason. That cool music (the wow and flutter effect, similar to an ancient analogue tape is tops) and the drone footage really make the video - you really have that unit sorted and worked out to the max. Sorry to hear that your arm was broken. Good that you found out before a possible future mishap really damaged the bones. Always look forward to your videos. Cheers and thanks, Sean.
Absolutely beautiful photography, Jason. Poor you, the arm situation's a bit depressing, I imagine. Just rest up and take it easy for a while. Enjoy a bit of walking and that drone, it's fabulous. Looking forward to your next video, Jason. 😊🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
Hey Jason. Sorry about the arm. You can park at the stadium in Newcastle and there is a bus that runs every 15 minutes I believe. That will eliminate having to try to park near the hospital which is impossible with a high top van.
I was going to suggest this too.. great option ❤️🙏 and be prepared Jason - the fracture clinic is painful- 🤣 it can take hours- take a packed lunch and stuff to do!! 😆❤️
You should stop at fern bay- it’s between Nelson bay and newcastle and go on a bush walk to the sand dunes.. you will love it! ❤️ Best wishes with a speedy recovery on your arm! ❤️🙏
I'm loving seeing some of the drone shots you're now able to get, and the improved zoom camera is really good too! You've really put so much effort in and upped your production, it makes it so nice to watch.
Great video Jason. The ocean looks amazing and the rock pools would keep me occupied for hours exploring the different seaweeds and shells etc. Climbing the rocks was a joy years back as kids. Imagine the enjoyment you would have rock fishing. Fresh air, you have it made. Glad you have sorted the arm out for now. Not fun wearing a cast. Hope John Hunter Hospital goes well for you. Take care
After your last video I said to my husband “I reckon Jason’s broken his wrist” 😝 so I’m really glad you got it x-rayed. Bugger about the break and the cast though. Great video - look after yourself!
😂😂 that's hilarious! They actually had a big drone in the case. I assume taking photos for a real estate agent....or perhaps that was just a cover....🤔
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces Cheers Jason, hope so. Btw My real name is also Jason. lol! I just saw a video pop up in my feed 'Paraglider Pilot Swept to 7,300m storm & survives' Omg not sure how.
Yeah, got that one in my feed as well. Paragliders can be very hard to get down if they get caught in up drafts....had a small taste of that while doing a tandem with my instructor. We still had plenty of other options to get down, but it took a few goes to land where he wanted to. A bit of an eye opener...
Great footage! I'm glad you got the xray, I hope you don't have to have surgery. The cast is so restrictive. I'm keen to hear how you go with your appt.
They suggested surgery, but said probably not necessary. It's fairly knocked out of shape, but should be good enough 😁 Got a plastic splint now, so that's a lot better!
Bummer about your arm Jason, though I did breathe a sigh of relief when you said you'd better go get it checked. Going to be a PITA for a while but I'm sure you'll manage to come up with improvs and shortcuts to help. Will probs be tiring at times, so be gentle with yourself. The drone footage and camera work has taken your vids to a whole new level, some breathtaking shots. The drone following you on your bike rides is cool and I chuckled at your wave and come follow me hand gesture to it. Chin up! You have a lot of support and love here.
Thanks Pauline ☺️. Always make me smile to know everyone enjoys the videos! I can't wait to get some off road drone footage with the bike, but going to be a while. Got a plastic removable splint now so that's a big help. At least I can have a shower properly 😂
I love how the drone can follow you around & even on your bike. That’s so cool! Thank you for all the effort you put in to giving us such great footage! I’ve spent the night in my van in that car park where you parked to go to the hospital. I can’t believe you’ve been getting around with a broken arm all this time. I’m glad you finally got it looked at, but sorry to hear that it’s worse than you initially thought. I hope the healing process isn’t going to be too long, & hope it heals quickly. I’ll probably be in Newcastle in my van on the weekend, I’ll keep an eye out for you if you’re still around. I’m happy to give you a hand with some food prep & chopping things up if you need some help. It looks very frustrating trying to get things done with the plaster on. One of those baby food bowls that suction to the table might help too lol
Thanks Sally! Really appreciate the offer. 😊 I've slipped town already. My next appointment is in 4 weeks so decided to continue up north for a little while. Given how bad the break is, I'm surprised it didn't hurt more 😂 Hope you have a great weekend out in your van 👍
@ yes you seemed to be a lot less bothered than one would expect with a broken bone lol. Hope you’re enjoying it up North. Looking forward to seeing where you’ve ended up!
Love the video mate. Not just the video quality, but the great soundtrack. You pick the backing tracks so well. Sorry to see that you your arm turned out to be broken. When I broke my foot at the start of this year, one thing I found that really helped with showering was a reusable plastic sock from Ansteys in Broadmeadow. Made showering with a cast so much easier.
There is a shuttle bus that runs between McDonald Jones Stadium and John Hunter Hospital Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm. Free Parking is available at the stadium.
Oooh I sympathise years ago I had my right arm from fingertips to elbow in plaster for 6 1/2 weeks and yes I’m right handed. It was as awkward as heck especially sleeping. As always I love seeing all your walks.
It's my understanding that the parking at the John Hunter Hospital is that a phone call to the parking management will result in you being able to park your over height vehicle within the Hospital grounds. Bruce
I would have thought so too, but seems all I got on the phone was perhaps just a new recruit secretary guard. Anyway, the stadium plus free shuttle bus worked well. 😁
Thanks Steve. It's a DJI Neo. Got the combo so I have the remote control for longer flights. It's pretty cheap so the picture quality isn't perfect, but the autonomous follow modes are awesome.
Jase , you’re killing me. I told you to go to hospital the other week mmmm In all seriously there are plenty of worse places to have to hang around then newy as we call it lol. When you have your fracture clinic appointment, your best to go park at Glendale super centre and catch a bus up. ( cheaper then paying for parking) the number 13 comes every 15 minutes if so. Take care and how do we become a super fan mate?
😂 thanks Leigh. Ended up catching a free shuttle bus from the stadium. That was helpful! I don't have any members features set up. I struggle to keep up with the videos now, so additional features are hard. But I'm happy just to have you following along regularly. That is fantastic 😊
sorry to hear about the arm Jason, don''t let it get you down, of course no bike riding and paragliding for a while but before you know you will be back at it again and it will be a distant memory, stay safe, cheers Garry
Good luck with the arm Jason. Definitely a PITA. You have to figure out how to make the best of things while you have the cast on. Maybe do a few reviews using existing footage. "Camper build", "Cycling adventures" etc.?
Like everyone else, I'm loving the new camera equipment and drone, but personally I'm feeling like there's too much music. I much prefer natural sounds.
Yeah, I'm with you. I'm trying to balance it and keep the natural sounds where they're special, but a lot of the latest footage, there really wasn't anything to hear other than crashing waves....which isn't bad to hear either....😁
@zurub537 P1000 was very expensive and the P950 video quality wasn't very good. Every sample I looked at had shakey images. I think the P900 video was actually better....
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces I agree with you , I only got one back in 2015 to measure the earth , it was good for seeing long distance over 90 km . FYI I am a flat earth believer after seeing a ship over 90 km from an elevation of only 165 metres, do the math it doesn't add up 😂
Jason, hope you received good news from the hospital, but if you need some time for your arm to heal everyone will understand if you need to take a break, so to speak, from making the videos.i can say with some certainty that all of your viewers would agree that your health comes first .
Yep, my instructor told me that too 😂 Its progressed a lot over the years though and the wings are much safer than they used to be. I think if it was that dangerous now, we'd be seeing it on the news.
Off this beautiful coastline is where the crazy net zero climate change zealots won’t to install futile wind turbines, anchored to the the ocean floor. Enjoy the view why you can.
Could get hit by a bus (or a drone fall outta the sky on your head). We all live our own lives. Sorry, irks me when people say give up xyz because you could hurt yourself. Life itself is a risk. Not saying everyone should take up a risky sport also not to be negative to those who do.
😂 thanks Scott. I'll get back to flying as soon as my arms good. I've got plenty of time to reflect on what I did wrong and make sure I don't do it again! In reality, I could have done more damage slipping in the shower. At least this way I have a good story to tell. 😂
These drone videos are amazing and the music is on point as well.
Thanks Andrew 🙂 👍
Thanks for the awesome videos. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Nick & Judy
Thankyou very much!😊👍
Glad you both enjoy the videos and really appreciate your support.
Glad you finally got the x-ray...was about to use my virtual mum voice to tell you to do it. Sorry that it's broken.
😂 yeah, just wasn't progressing well enough. At least now I know to be even more careful with it....

Thank you very much, Owen!😊

Thanks Jay. Fern Bay sounds interesting. Never thought of having a look there.
thanks for this video Jason. Beautiful places.

The addition of the drone and music is really paying off, great reinvestment.
Thanks. Yeah, I've always loved drone shots...😁

Some beautiful clear rock pools around there. Shame the tides were a bit high.

Hey Jason how is your arm doing?
And what is the zoom camera you have?
The arms making slow progress. Hard to tell if it's getting better when it's in a splint now.
The camera's a Panasonic Lumix VX1.
