    You can always hinge them at the tops and have 12 - 24 vdc actuators at the bottoms to adjust the angles as and when necessary, work really good on RVs and motor homes.

    not crazy. three new solar farms have cropped up in my area. They're mounting the panels vertically facing east-west. Apparently it only reduces output by about 5 percent and gives significant protection from hailstorms.

      those are bi facial panels I would suppose. They gather energy from both sides

      I think that's what they're referring to as well. It's becoming a popular way to go. There's a lot to be said for focusing on early morning and late day sunlight. Personally, I find that those are the times of the day when my use of electricity iis highest anyhow.

    Great video and great idea for the extra panels. I love the rooster crow right at the end of the video. What timing!

    The best place to put solar is where ever you can fit it without it impacting anything else.

      Yep, you can buy pre-built solar fence panels!

    The wood under the panel will suffer. Not sure if this is right from fire safety, there could easily be more than 60°C (150°F) under the panel.

    Wait for transparent solar panels and you can use them on the windows

    • @PraxisAdventures
      @PraxisAdventures  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think there are already things like that. They don't create as much current as the opaque panels, but can be used just as you suggest.

    The panels wull degrade much slower too, as they are not going to get the full summer heat.

    Light is light. If you wanted you could Make mirrors to guide light around whole home to panels. Polished metal for durability in storms + not concentrate too much light unless you got cooling for panels planned. Research using Fiber Optic cable to transfer light and solatube tech. See if you notice a way to send light inside while shielding all panels from nature. Lol..

      Light tubes are what you seem to be talking about. They're a pretty awesome tech for bringing in light to a space. I have some reflective surfaces in my east and west greenhouses that do just what you're describing too. A lot of great low-tech ways of getting things done. The fewer moving parts the better! :)

    Most use double sided when mounting this way. Was surprised you didn’t mention it.

    • @PraxisAdventures
      @PraxisAdventures  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      The double siding would only make sense if it wasn't mounted on my wall I would think. The double sided panel vertical mounting is usually done out in full sun facing east-west to grab sun on both sides of the rise and fall each day.

      @PraxisAdventures  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yes he did... sort of. I was trying to say "Joe Bidening". It's nice that he finally stepped aside. It's not his fault, but he was just getting so old and that job takes a fully functioning brain to do well.

    How much power does the solar table generate?

    • @PraxisAdventures
      @PraxisAdventures  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If such a table DID exist, given my experience with these things, I'd say probably about 300W or so in full sun.

    Actually if you took a 100 watt panel to space you'd get about ten times more than that from it.
