Alex - another great and helpful video - thank you. I've really been able to benefit from the RM2 over the past month! PDF manipulation, as you stated, is an essential component of day-to-day business workflow - this new update will aid with that without a question! Keep up the helpful videos - and thank you for your tutelage ~ Cheers from Texas!
Thanks Jeff, 👍I remember a couple of years ago spending hours trying to work out how to do this. I was very disappointed that it could not be done 🙈. I have found workarounds, but this makes things easier 😊. Hopefully, you have found a solution for your nib addiction 😉 .
@@AlexSamuels hah -- almost -- I just ordered 25 more -- drawing and writing is a passion -- it's a little cheaper than my Mont Blanc Meisterstruck ink hah
@Jeff Hallum I do miss writing with a fountain pen as much as I did. Although at least you get less ink on you swapping a nib as opposed to filling up a fountain pen. 😂 I recently changed my nib, which I only do every couple of months normally. I am sure I was inspired to do that because of your comments 🙈. I think I started to think I was not discerning enough 🤔😉.
@Jeff Hallum ah yes, but all the best teachers are great at their jobs because they take inspiration from their talented and engaged students 😂😉. One day Jeff maybe this student will surpass his master. When he is using the RM2 and his remarkable architecture skills to model the most amazing caves the word has seen. 😛
Thank you so much for providing the latest updates about the device. However, I was wondering what's the need of a background music in a technical explanation? It makes it so hard to listen to the words.
Thank you for the feedback, interestingly you are the second person to say that in 2 days 🤔😂🙈. I am going to test my latest video with and without music. 👍
I am looking for something to Notes on that all I really want to do. Was thinking this might be the best device for the job because I want e-ink and don't want glass feel. Do I need the monthly subscription if I just want the notes stored on devicr
It's a great question and I don't think you do, your notes will be "locked" on your device but if that is ok then no I think it will work perfectly without connecting. If you ever needed the connect subscription for something then you could always sign up for a month and cancel again as there is no lockin. Also if you haven't seen it this will knock £40 off remarkable.com/referral/3TRV-5EFR 😀. I hope that helps.
It's a really interesting question 👍. My answer is, no, I don't see it happening. It would be almost impossible to get the software integration right and keep the feel. The last time I used one note on the Onyx Boox it was an awful experience 😕 . It works well with an iPad though 👌.
@@AlexSamuels right, i have the Ipad Pro, but truly for note taking it doesn't do a great job for me. I am a lefty, and Notability and Goodnotes although great programs doesn't cut it for me (handwriting wise). I have been thinking of ordering one of these RM2 to test the left handed use, and see how good it works. The challenge would be to send all files in PDF format and then insert them manually in as a print-out in Onenote- which would take time. But, thanks for your comment !!!
Have considered the Onyx but it would be like any Android platform - good at the beginning but then slow. The other option I have considered is Supernote AX5 but it seems they have more of a PEN feel, which I dont like. I like pencil.... THanks again !
@Francisco Perez-Landaeta do you need to transfer them into one note? I transfer about 90% off my remarkable; it is very easy to batch the process on a Mac / PC. Is there not somewhere other than one note you can store them? I know what you mean as I transferred from the iPad to Remarkable. I had to change my workflow but it was worth for me.
Thank you for the positive comment regarding the video 👍. Regarding the shirt, I can't give you a link because I got it in-store, but the brand is Reiss; they make quality stuff, and although I can't see this top online, they do have tops that are a similar style. I hope that helps.
Hi Vince, great question 👍. Unfortunately not, you can only search typed notes in a PDF or ebook. On a regular notebook, the search option does not even appear 😟. It's strange as the Remarkable has had a convert to text for a very long time, so it should be able to try and process handwriting and search, but as it stands, no. Sorry, it's not the answer you wanted, but I hope that helps.

@@AlexSamuels remember YOU are the teacher here - not me - I'm following your lead on the RM2 - I'm just a "cave man architect" ---

A new video yay! :D
Thanks, man 👍. I loved not being able to open the background in a new note 😂. Live untested demos 🙈.
Hopefully , there are more to come 🙏
Hello Alex. I'm wondering, can you take notes in a double screen? Meaning a pdf on one side and the notebook on the other ?
Great question Maria 👍, but unfortunately you can't 🙁

Do you think they will ever release the integration with one-note ? that's the one point I would love to see.

@Francisco Perez-Landaeta I have all 3 plus Kobo, and for professional use, IMHO remarkable is best.
Alex, can you link your shirt? I would like to buy that but not sure what brand it is! Thanks so much and great update, as well.

can you add Keywords to search own hand written notes?
