When all of you talk about these individuals, tell the truth these individuals have but there distrutive lives out there, tell their stories the way they lived, I worked in Scottsdale AZ for over 20 years and I took care of many, many celebrities and high profile individuals, I saw them for who they were, some bad and some acted like good people should act. So! don't sugar coat alot of theses individuals, they are who they are, No! one to be placed on pedestals, I'm tired of hearing how great the public thinks these individuals are uneducated fools, starting with Michael Jordan, he fits the bil. I feel like they are overhyping mark Kerr, he wasnt a competent striker so he looks awkward and he wasn't top level because of that. He had to grapple because he couldn't strike and box
Back in those days he didn’t need it. Mark destroyed people. Look it up. The second he got the double leg most of his opponents were fucked. Then he trained with Bas and was getting better but drugs and toxic relationships took over and he fell off hard and fast
Shit man, every single time I look at Kurt I can’t help but wonder what would’ve been if he had made it to the UFC. I honestly believe he would’ve been an absolute monster. I had no idea he went up against Coleman and Kerr, the literal core of hammer house to make the Olympics. I’m not even slightly surprised though. Keep in mind, this was prior to the 96 Olympics, and Pride FC, debuted in 97, Kerr, was widely considered number one in the world , AND 97 is also when Coleman won the heavyweight title in the UFC. That’s how goddamn nasty Kurt Angle was.
Def would have had some wins. However, the pay was shit at that time really shit his injuries his neck, etc. hes 1000000 becoming perc angle sooner and that just seems like a way darker path. So maybe it worked out for the best. Or maybe he would have gotten a few wins balled on sponsors and retire who knows. Kurt with no neck issues in the ufc however would have prob been one of the goats.
