I'm certain someday all the old farm trucks will be gone, but I'll be darned if you don't keep getting them in! Glad you saved that Farmall nose/grill. Those things are pretty pricey.

Silas!! That was great you preparing the Hello Fresh meal in the bus/cabin. I don't believe I have ever seen another youtuber actually prepare one of their meals....
The best part of that segment was eating the meal "bachelor style". I almost always eat my dinner from the pan or pot that I cook it in - - why dirty up
more dishes than you have to ?? Then - at the end when the other guys wife told him he couldn't buy the Freightliner....see, single guys do what they want !
I genuinely enjoyed the food they sent me. Super handy for ready to cool meals in the cabin.
I feel sorry for that old Dodge hauling that heavy dump truck. Just look how much it strains the back end.
Still, it's always fun watching the claw go to town on these junkers

Brother Silas. i just wanted to give you some ideas for vlogs. its been a long time since ive seen a livestream. and i also think that if you did a close calls video telling about or showing times that you almost got hurt. i think that would have alot of interest. Its good to see your channel growing. you are a good man and i'm glad to see you doing well. How is your dream truck project going? the 4 door dodge truck. i think that would make a nice series showing or telling about that project.

I really love all trucks ,tractors, all commercial equipment and vehicles, it really makes me very sad to see these crushed and destroyed, 😢 I understand it is your business and bread and butter, still sad though,have you thought of giving to a truck or car museum, we really need to save as much as possible of these old commercials ,and old school trucks,tractors ❤

If I was closer I’d be interested in a 14 gain box, and some 20in 5 lug and 6lug split ring/ lock ring wheels. Not split rim. Also a good seat

Surprised scrap yard doesn’t require you to remove wooden slats around back of work trucks before they’ll take them at the claw.

👍👌👏 Great video. 2) I'm always shocked what all gets scrapped. In Germany all the tractor hydraulic cylinders, the hydraulic valves etc. are very searched/sought after. Also the front loaders and the buckets. Even the rear wheels, the rims and wheel weights of the little orange tractor would sell well.
3) Nice to see your old trusty pickup truck again. The new claw operator is really, really bad. You got lucky twice that no harm was done to your trailer. I would definitely have talked to his boss or maybe even dragged the operator out of the claw cabin.
4) Lord have mercy! I hope that I will not have to see the big red semi truck with the sleeper being crushed. TwinStick Garage and J. C. Smith projects will 😱 too (at least I guess so).
5) Using the school bus stove to cook a meal was definitely healthier than the fast food you usually eat. Congrats!

I'm glad to see the faithful Dodge back in service. I'd seen it on one of your videos the other day and thought it looked sad setting there. Yeah, with that new guy running the claw, I certainly wouldn't be taking the Chevy! 😨 Maybe when he gets some experience under his claw. I went with daddy to the salvage one time as a little girl. The guy running the magnet dropped it on the trailer of dad's "good" truck. Busted a shock on the back of his truck. The yard was like oh well, not responsible for accidents. Cost my poor daddy more than he made to fix the damage. I think of that horrible sound when I watch the claw. I don't think folks realize how much stuff you do save off those vehicles, gosh if you saved everything waiting for someone to lowball you on prices your yard would stretch to Wichita! And you'd need 3 or 4 Shauns to help! Always glad to see a video up. Stay warm, stay safe and GOD bless

I think the wheel weights sale for $100.00 each or more I’ve seen them sale for 150,00 each and the front end loaders are worth good money.

Aren't the mirrors on the bigger trucks worth anyting? West Coast mirrors whatever you like to call them. Pretty mellow about how the guy I unloaded your trailer. I used to take loads and occasionally for a friend of mine at pulverizer. The clogged come down and kind of smashed a little bit take it off the trailer setup on the receiving dock smash it screwed it in and we'll just bring it in there just chew it up and coming out the other side it look like metal pieces of straw like you'd having a bale of straw. Thanks for reminding me of that memory.

That cab you crunched up and put in the box, were those glass clearance lights? The glass ones sell for 100 for three of them easy.
I’ve got tons of them and they rarely sell unless the base is good, which it is almost always rusted out.

you need to get ahold of tim gentry, or gentry and sons in sweetwater tenn about that freightliner fld.. he loves them, and can maybe use the engine, his whole shop burned down taking a bunch of engines with it for his trucking company..
More claw action please I know you got some short buses that can go to the claw so you can chop some of those other buses and half with the excavator

The old Green Chevy truck reminds me of Restodan's dinosaur!
I guess there aren't enough farmers left to use these trucks but if I was a farmer and needed a grain truck I'd get an old one and for modest expense refurbushish it. I don't know farming but maybe they get low cost government loans to buy new vehicles. It seems a shame to not use the older vehicles that still run considering how they are used and treated. Hate to beat up a new one. Here in Florida I think they would sell because landscapers need them. You are right to scrap it. That's your business. I love farm cats. Have about 5 where I work and I feed them. Costs me $10 a week. I get them fixed too and put the flea and tick stuff on them. They are very friendly. Love when they rub aganist my leg to show appreciation. They like a good head scratch too. A new one shows up now and then. They are all welcome. We have no mice or rats. A black and white one lives with the chickens. It thinks it is a chicken and it keeps the chickens safe.

I haven’t sold any of those in many years. They sell them at the farm auctions for scrap price all the time. Suitcase weights do sell but only for about .50 a lb
