Over here in Europe those cars are sold for more then new “restored “ , ugly ones you won t find under 2500. So just leave them as is and it’s a potential goldmine. Hope you have registration documents . A 6.3 scrap? No way ..
The thing that makes this a slice of heaven for me is not just all the amazing American iron it's the stuff to far gone to be used as good parts that's the gold I can turn into one off works of art it hasn't made me much but you cant beat the happiness of the people who get to enjoy it 😄
Shuffling Trucks and Cars - very Busy ! Yes Yard Maintenance of those Trees - well done ! You got Your Long Trailer - Clean Looking Unit - Congrats ! White Bus Demolition Video very soon - hey - can't wait ! Great Video and many Cheers from Australia!!!!
* A Prison Bus !!! Wow ! I think I rode in that one ! Lol 🤭 Just kidding . It would be funny if someone watching had. Is the fuel tank in the IH behind the passenger front fender ?!! Crazy ! Anyway another fine vid Silas ! The work you put into camera angles, editing, and music choices really shows. Thankyou for your effort . Cheers ... 🍻👊😎👍🍻
When I worked at the salvage yard we used to use the seat foam for shipping up tail lights also headlights and other fragile items we were shipping up north and two other salvage yards the only things that didn’t work on was the door glasses they usually shattered in shipment but if you’re shipping for eBay or online sales that seat material will come in handy and you can scrap the seat frames after that !
I had one of these I think back in the early '80'a - bought it new, drove it for two years, traded for a new Bayliner plus some cash to them. I loved this little guy. It had the speakers in the headrests and back then I fit in it perfect. Today, not so much. It was red like yours Silas and sure broought back memories. Thanks.
15:47 ,should hard wire the dump trailer with good Guage wire, & a Rotary switch that goes both to either the post or the battery, & a quick disconnect to the main vehicles like the trailer lights, my friends did it to several dump trailers because sometimes the batteries die on the job
You should buy a couple of pallets of Gatorades and keep it in the reefer trailer ice cold solar panels and extra batteries to fire up the refrigeration trailer for some ice cold drinks and food ?🤔🤔🤫🎯
love that old mercedes at the beginning, also these videos have made me want to work in a junkyard myself probably after the military since it looks like a lot of fun. ❤❤
Recall building / cars of the Fieros Forever museum was destroyed during the flood of downtown in Sanford, Michigan in May 20, 2020 when the dam failed. PS - Looks like you got a nice aluminum deck chair from that van wreck to go with your cooler.
Hi I stay in Scotland and my dream car is a Plymouth fury just like the car on the movies Christine I wish I had the money to bye one but nice to see one getting saved
Silas, You’re a breath of fresh. My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. You are so honest and down to earth. Keep it up. Love your channel. Brian & Charlene 4:03
That white bus would make an excellent junkyard cabin if you can get one of the a/c units working. You could get a solar panel or two and make a battery bank with old truck batteries to make them work and sell the engine and trans and all running gear and set it on the ground basically.
Wow, you're a high roller now Silas. 😆 After no rain since May, we were so blessed with 3.5 inches of rain from that system that headed your way. Looked like you maybe got the same or more amount of rain. It's amazing how the dog compound was just about all dirt and after that rain all the Bermuda grass is back and now I need to mow it.
The first week that Fieros hit the showrooms, I guess around 40 years ago, my boss detoured our lunch run to a Pontiac dealer and almost bought one. It was quite a different-looking car at the time. He ended up with a Saab 900 Turbo instead. About 20 years ago, I got dozens of brand new Abrams tank fuel filler pipes at a government surplus auction. Still have some. They're made of 321 stainless, which is "titanium enhanced". My only repeat customer for them on eBay was a guy who modified Fieros for a living. He custom fabricated an exhaust system from them, for whatever engines he was dropping in to make modified Fieros.
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoy it and as for that dump truck that you had a dead battery with well normally the alternator would charge the battery
Glad to see the Mercury Monarch find a new home. While these are not popular today, they did sell well when new. I always thought these were nice cars. I have driven and ridden in some. Overall, the interiors of the early models were quite plush. Nice attention to detail and very good proportioning on the styling. Ford put extra effort into the build quality in the initial design and grade of materials used in them. In the later model years, they started taking cost out of them. I do like these cars.
Dear Mr. Silas. 👍👌👏 You really got a lot done and the scrapyard looks a much better already. Congratulations 🎉 2).The Mercedes type W108/W109 on your trailer is my favourite Daimler Benz model. By the way: Some videos ago my heart almost stopped after seeing all those old Mercedes cars you crushed already a long time ago. By the way: What will happen to the Mercedes scrapyard/field collection you showed some vids ago? Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing. Best regards, luck and especially health to all of you.
A few years ago I read or saw a video about ( mostly modern day cars ) that would become collectors items in future years. The Pontiac Fireros' were on that list. And yes, you are correct, they used to be EVERYWHERE - but, just like you said - you used to crush them by the hundreds. They really were not terrible cars - but they required attention to the maintenance and most people did not take the time for routine maintenance. I think people drove them until they broke down and then tossed.
235 early head the same style of valve cover as a 216. You are correct. A Chevy engine is probably a Babbitt engine. GMC would probably be a nonbabbit engine. CHARGE YOUR TRAILER OFF OF YOUR TRUCK AS IT RUNS. ALL YOU GOT TO DO IS AT HOTWIRE IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE IT. YOU CAN RUN IT HOWEVER YOU LIKE. SOME STYLE PLUGS CAN USE THE CENTER ONE. THAT WAY THE ALTERNATOR ON YOUR TRUCK IS CHARGING IT AS YOU'RE GOING DOWN THE ROAD HERE IT AND YOU CAN LET YOUR TRUCK IDLE OR KICK UP THE I DO TO A LITTLE FASTER IDle and work your don't trailer off of both the batteries. You may want to put a bigger alternator and their check your specifications for the truck. Skylight pulling a travel trailer in keeping your refrigerator running you keep whatever you got in there cold as you driving down the road. Also the Astro all-wheel drive van. Is engine transmission any good? How much for it? How many miles on it. Or just how much for the van? I'm clearing land right now and your tools of the trade would come in very handy. But then they cost quite a bit to run and if you can't work them all the time it's not worth the expense. Thanks 👍
Only issue is there is no wiring on the trailer, and also the landfill is about 3 minutes away so it wouldn’t be able to charge enough. Super simple to use a set of jumpers now that I have my long ones
Seeing the cars organized appeals to my sense of order. So glad to see you making the hard choices. How about emptying the locked trailers? I’ll bet those represent a video or two.Great sun hat, Silas. You can tell a man by the cut of his clothes!
I've always been curious about the damage a deer can do to a vehicle, I'll guess one was still embedded in the front end of that Astro. Thanks Silas, stayin tuned! 🤠👍
i have been trying to find a clean fiero for ages now. a good clean body one are going for 10k+ in my area. i knew a few years ago they where going for next to nothing then the price jumped. kills me inside knowing i cant find one now that i can afford at least
Wow Silas working in 105 to 110 degree heat I wouldn't be able to do much more than walk. I used to run a 30,000 lb capacity forklift that had hydraulic fingers. they were used to keep large gas transmission pipe from rolling off the blades. That loader with the bucket and jaws reminded me of my forklift. Looks like you sold one of those Mercedes. My brother had a 300D with the 5 cylinder diesel in it and it was a decent engine for mileage.
Well, I wouldn't about those trailers that you got one time with all that stuff in. Them, did you ever look and see what was in there? Ha ha, and what series did you do it in so I can see it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Greetings from IRELAND ❤
Keeping all those cars lined up neatly really tidies up your yard Silas. I'm sure your customers like seeing that.
Over here in Europe those cars are sold for more then new “restored “ , ugly ones you won t find under 2500. So just leave them as is and it’s a potential goldmine. Hope you have registration documents . A 6.3 scrap? No way ..
Like the new way of the editing mixing jazzy music with the yard footage. Enjoyable video.
Beautiful old Mercedes. The prison bus will be interesting to see that one come a part. 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
That bus reminds me of Con Air movie and The Fugitive with Harrison Ford
The thing that makes this a slice of heaven for me is not just all the amazing American iron it's the stuff to far gone to be used as good parts that's the gold I can turn into one off works of art it hasn't made me much but you cant beat the happiness of the people who get to enjoy it 😄

Thankyou silas , get yourself in the ac and spend time with your cute kids

Had 1977 Mercury Monarch with six and stick shift. ONE OF THE BEST CARS I HAVE OWNED.
Monarch would be pretty cool to get back on the road!
Nice content and great editing. I liked the accompanying music too.
Many thanks
David in the UK
Looking forward to the day when you finally open up those other big rig trailers and see what is inside!
21:42 keep the prison bus 🚌 for the copper & catalytic converter thieves 😁
Nice Hat
🍻🇨🇦🍻
Man i would be in heaven parting out and scavenging thru your yards. I wish u was closer to me. Love your channel keep up the good content
I just click the "like" as soon as I pull up one of Silas' videos. Saves time. :)

Dude you are so articulate with that equipment it blows my mind. love to watch you operate.
For sure, he's a master of that loader.
Needs to attach a brush to one of the forks and create a painting!
Love the bus don't kill it just got great look& potential.Gut it & fix leaks Silas..greetings from sth Australia 🇦🇺👍🦘
Saludos desde Buenos Aires 😊👍👍
I used to paint the wheels on that Fiero When it was new. We made a lot of them. Like a 1,000 a night or more years ago. Liked that job.
You should buy a couple of pallets of Gatorades and keep it in the reefer trailer ice cold solar panels and extra batteries to fire up the refrigeration trailer for some ice cold drinks and food ?🤔🤔🤫🎯
LOOOOVE seeing all that old iron goin to a new home ....but i sure LOOOOVE the squeeeeze too ....HA HA ...lol
love that old mercedes at the beginning, also these videos have made me want to work in a junkyard myself probably after the military since it looks like a lot of fun. ❤❤
1947 is a first year for that model truck, i'd hang on to it.
That was a spectacular shot, in the wind, with that black storm cloud coming in - the sunlight slanting away was just right !
I like the Hornet/Eagle wagon to the Left.
Nice bus!
Recall building / cars of the Fieros Forever museum was destroyed during the flood of downtown in Sanford, Michigan in May 20, 2020 when the dam failed.
PS - Looks like you got a nice aluminum deck chair from that van wreck to go with your cooler.
That prison bus and 20 orange jumpsuits you can have a really cause a rukus.
That mercury is super nice!
That coach is way better, belly tanks, A.C. it would make a killer motorhome! WOW. To just smash it. Detroit and an allison probably.
The Car wizard sure would appreciate hearing from you about the pitman arm on that bus.
Bus has been gone for awhile now
21:55 - I get Harrison Ford jumping before the train impact vibes (It wasn't ME... It was the one-armed MAN!).
Hi I stay in Scotland and my dream car is a Plymouth fury just like the car on the movies Christine I wish I had the money to bye one but nice to see one getting saved
.
Would make secure camping just saying 😊night silas 😊
Kick butt silas u rock ❤😊😊
Love your Salt Armor hat!! Great company
what about the beautifull merc you towed in,looked fantastic
I made a video all about those a couple weeks ago
Silas,
You’re a breath of fresh. My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. You are so honest and down to earth. Keep it up. Love your channel.

Yes sir...😊
That refer container would make a nice mobile home, mainly because of the insulation
Silas Another good video really enjoyed it thank you sir
Oh boy silas prison bus be careful 😊😊😊
another great watch

Cool 👍
This is the first video of yours I'm watching. I love the positive attitude and find the overhead view of you arranging your yard very satisfying!
Very nice Silas The bus should be a good one
awesom e!
Another great video. Peace
that stile of reffer cooler is what I have cooling my shop with
You should keep the seat dividers for shelving in the reefer trailer.
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoy it and as for that dump truck that you had a dead battery with well normally the alternator would charge the battery

Awesome video Silas

Yes Peace out
love it
The Car Wizard may use some of the bus parts
When are you going to look in those semi trailers, Silas?
A few years ago I read or saw a video about ( mostly modern day cars ) that would become collectors items in future years.
The Pontiac Fireros' were on that list. And yes, you are correct, they used to be EVERYWHERE - but, just like you said - you
used to crush them by the hundreds. They really were not terrible cars - but they required attention to the maintenance and
most people did not take the time for routine maintenance. I think people drove them until they broke down and then tossed.
216 have a tin plate on the whole side of engine, 235 is a short tin cover on the side .
SOME STYLE PLUGS CAN USE THE CENTER ONE. i’m happy to see that 300zx is finding a home, looks pretty solid with little to no rust. i though u would crush it 😅
Darn good at loading trailers.
All you need with that Sombrero is a mustache and some tacos..ha ha!
Salis always a great video thank you for sharing and your time really great thank you beat the rain.
Any 1975 Benz diesel good running engines, that’s what I need thanks buddy BigAl California
You're right about the Fiero. They are future classics and I really like them. The other sports car is nice too. Nissan? Don't crush Fieros.
At 7:44, when you were loading the Cadillacs, I was thinking, I hope their not Derby bound .
Those type of trailers drain batteries quick!
What do people end up doing with all of the truck cabs? It seems a s though some people would want them on a frame.
Hang them on the wall or make furniture out of them
Thanks Silas. I initially wrote 'noses' but meant truck cabs. Are the cabs used for the same things as noses?@@AdventuresMadeFromScratch
The cabs are used to make pickups on modern frames. Big truck cabs are the same as pickups usually, but with less rust.
I've always been curious about the damage a deer can do to a vehicle, I'll guess one was still embedded in the front end of that Astro.
Thanks Silas, stayin tuned!
🤠👍
It would be cool to see what people do with the cars you sell .
We're the trailer with all the stuff in it we been waiting for you to go through all the stuff inside it you have to be wondering what inside.????????
Note to Auntie Em : Hate you, hate Kansas, took the Dog, Dorothy
Are you a "friend of Dorothy" ???? X
I remember when you used to crush everything. I'm glad you're at a place where you don't have to do that so much. I used to yell out loud noooo !
How about the AMC Eagle over your right shoulder at the outro?
Hey Silas you should get in touch with a channel called whistlin diesel this guy would love this thing.
i have been trying to find a clean fiero for ages now. a good clean body one are going for 10k+ in my area. i knew a few years ago they where going for next to nothing then the price jumped. kills me inside knowing i cant find one now that i can afford at least

You know that reefer probably has a diesel motor. And the whole will be only about a two by two.
Well, I wouldn't about those trailers that you got one time with all that stuff in. Them, did you ever look and see what was in there? Ha ha, and what series did you do it in so I can see it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That z32 300zx is worth some money especially factory 2 tone
