My favorite moment is when JB was asked about abortion. He Believes Life Begins At Conception, But refuses to Impose his beliefs on women. I love his statement not only because I'm pro-choice, but because that sums up every progressive person's stance on social issues. Yet the G.O.P calls it a "war on Christianity".

Even after almost 4 years this debate is going down as one body blow after another body blow. Ryan's face was pummeled and every (memorized....like his buddy boy, Rubio) talking point was sent back to the drawing board as soon as it came out of Ryan's yap. I love Biden....he just puts it all in place.

He didn't laugh at the issues, he laughed at the absurdity of Ryan's answers.
It is not the opposition but the audience and the level to which they are persuaded that defines who won the debate.

Hey, I'm just reporting the poll results and nowhere did I state that I am a conservative.
I am from Canada. Our health care is not "moving towards privatizing". I was recently diagnosed with dermatomyositis and scleroderma. If I lived in the United States, I would be broke. Fortunately, I live in a country where the health care system is designed to help the people so I am now in the final stages of treatment and only getting better without paying for anything out of my pockets. Call us "socialist" or "communist" or whatever you Americans think we are, but our system works.

155 thousend UK citizens die every year thanks to their socialized healthcare the government has showed these numbers.
And you even have to wait for hours long in the hospital to get treatment and treatment is not even better than in the US. I have heard even stunning reactions from Belgians and Dutch people who got treated in the US, one person said "I got into the hospital, extremely friendly nurses and doctors and went straight ahead to the operation room, no waiting or credit card info".
Raddatz didn't double team anyone. She was much better than the other moderator, asking clear and concise questions and making sure they stayed on schedule.

So that's why the poll results I posted which showed that Ryan won the debate got 'flagged as spam' and I was called a 'liar.'
its important to discuss who won the debate because its an indicator of who generally made better points on the issues. apparently you personally look at the words 'winner' and 'loser' in a different light like it implies that this is a game

It's not that he's a "Water Drinker", it's that he was drinking the water out of nervousness. It sends a subconscious signal that the drinker wasn't ready for the debate, let alone the position of VP.

I've always believed in something called "twitch stupid", where you hear something and your body can't handle it and responds in kind. When you hear the "malarkey" Paul Ryan spouts off on a regular basis, can you blame someone for AT LEAST laughing out loud upon hearing it? You can't. I can't.

Working at McDonald's SHOULD NOT be a high paying job. It takes no school to work there, no HS/college diploma, and employees want to make a decent salary? NO! They should get a good education, and not be lazy and work at McDonald's and minimum wage.
When the minimum wage was raised 11% in 2009, 600,000 jobs were lost. That's already a sign that we shouldn't raise the MW. Plus, raising the MW would put 15-20% of small business out of business.

Someone deleted or must have flagged my (Deb's, not Jack's) comment of approximately 30 minutes ago. I simply wrote that I was dismayed by the number of interruptions by Biden when Ryan was trying to speak. The clips I have seen summarizing the debate have been skewed to the Obama/Biden ticket. I am for Free Speech. VP Biden almost constantly refused to give Ryan fair time to speak and I am amazed that Ryan did not lose his temper. Congressman Ryan proved to be strong and honest in character.

As someone pointed out earlier, the First Amendment doesn't mention church, but religions. We say ''church and state'' because it's faster than saying the whole thing, but the truth is it involves every religions.

Canada has around 35 million people, the U.S. has over 312 million people. More Canadians come to the U.S. for medical care by a % of a country's population per capita than we go there. The World Health Organization hasn't conducted a study in over 12 years, last time they did the EU was in prosperity, since then Western EU is in shambles, patients are being left out of hospitals in Greece, unemployment is at an all time high, to think their survival rates are still the same would be ridiculous
I love how conservatives are complaining about Biden's smile, but I saw Ryan smiling plenty in there. Not nearly as big, but that's how each of them smile, and that's ok, as long as you don't act like one person smiling is bad but the other is ok.
