"PITTSBURGH - Former president Barack Obama on Thursday made a direct, impassioned plea to Black men to support Vice President Kamala Harris - a key demographic she is struggling to mobilize - admonishing them for thinking about sitting out the presidential contest as well as suggesting sexism might be at play.
During an unannounced stop at a Harris campaign field office in Pittsburgh, just hours before he was set to appear at his first campaign rally for the Democratic nominee, Obama said he wanted to “speak some truths” and address Black men specifically, making his most direct remarks about their hesitancy in supporting Harris to date."

Then the Biden-Harris disaster of an administration came which is essentially Obama's third term. And i'm struggling. The things I could afford easily 6 years ago, I can barely afford today. Bring the Orange man back. He is far better at this. I don't want Obama's fourth term. And I supported Obama in 2008 and 2012.
Much as I think black men should be backing Harris, I am also not a black man.
I like the guy but objectively speaking, I don’t think it was right of Obama to tell black men who they should be backing based on their identity because no single demographic can be painted with a broad brush.

Unfortunately, I'm starting to think that Trump might win not because he is actually good or even the best choice president, but because of how out of touch with reality the democrats are and their poor messaging and communication to voters and lack of presentations of policies that appeal to voters, which is rather depressing.
I'm with you. It is theirs to lose, and they seem committed to that track.
And it's not because Obama had some tough words for black men. It's because the Dems fell off in the messaging and lost the plot while collecting all of this adulation from the most elite circles in American politics and media.
You can accept the Cheneys' endorsement without thanking Dick for his "service" to this nation. You can court Republican votes based on your decency and patriotism without giving up on talking about the most popular proposals in your policy platform. True, meaningful change requires continuity and effort over a period far longer than an eight-year term. The systemic issues in government have been present since the country’s founding, and it’s unreasonable to expect that one Black president, serving for just eight years, could resolve them all. It’s disappointing to hear such remarks, especially from someone who should understand the importance of unity. We have become so sensitive. In former President Obama's speech, it was eye-opening, constructive criticism, and a talk. It did not sound like a lecture. Hopefully, there was a good discussion where each side learned from the other. More importantly, if certain demands for your vote have not been met, the community needs to present those demands to either party.
