  • Coolant Replacement - Kawasaki Versys 650 - Motul Motocool Expert
    In this video, I would quickly explain how to replace the coolant in the bike Kawasaki Versys 650. However the basic method remains same for most of the motorcycles.
    High Level Steps :
    - remove the existing coolant
    - add distilled water and idle the bike for 2-3 minutes, and then remove that liquid. Flush this again 2-3 times till you see clear water coming out.
    - add fresh coolant in radiator & reservoir, let all air come out, keep adding coolant till required.
    - after few rides, monitor the coolant level, and add to level if needed.
    - replace coolant every 1-2 years itself. increase frequency of change if more riding.
    earlier also I have uploaded coolant replacement video, but that video is very long - I know its not good edited one! Hope this new video is helpful for many riders.

      Thanks for your appreciation. On same topic I made two videos - first one was lengthy and detailed, second one was bit shorter. 😀👍

    We had the same idea to make marks on the left side of the reservoir to inspect the level without removing the side panel. Excellent content.

    Great video. Will help me a lot. I want to know one thing. When you talk about flushing, does it mean you fill it with distilled water and start the bike on idle and let the water drain out from bottom?

      @PranavBhayani  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi. Close the bottom drain hole, then fill the coolant reservoir with distilled water and radiator with distilled water, and close back the radiator caps. Now run the bike on idle for few minutes, then drain out the water from bottom side of radiator. You can repeat the process 2 times to clean the internals of radiator. This is flushing. Hope this helps. Btw, on my channel I have yeo videos of coolant replacement, do explore. Thanks. 😊👍✨

    Can we mix coolants. E.g. engine ice and motul?

    • @PranavBhayani
      @PranavBhayani  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. I don't recommend mixing coolant, as they may have different composition. Especially EngineIce is a completely different material than other coolant. Pls don't mix. Worst case if you have low coolant, then add bit of pure water (better distilled water), and ensure to replace the entire coolant at next best opportunity. 👍

    I couldn’t understand what you put inside the overflow to clean. Rocks?

      I used some cereals (pulses) from our kitchen to clean the internals of tank 😀

      Hahaha. Those were uncooked grains , the hard material was good enough to clean the tank. 😀

    Hello, do you have any leads on second hand versys in bangalore. Thanks in advance

    • @PranavBhayani
      @PranavBhayani  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bangalore has the maximum number of Versys across India, and they have their large & active VBR group. I did ask few of colleagues, but I dont have local updates. If you are not connect to any local V colleague, then try hooking to Kawa showroom or gears stores- as they often get updates. :-)
