Love Poem (and most IU songs) are made so much more powerful if you understand the lyrics. Love Poem is a message to someone considering suicide. IU lost 3 close friends to suicide years ago...and of course lost another just a couple months ago (her co-star from masterpiece K-drama My Mister). If you listen to the song again (version with lyrics), it will break your heart... Her fans will go to the ends of the earth to support her (and vice-versa), which is really what her new song is all about.
She is a self-described introvert. In a recent interview she doesnt make or considers herself having friends anymore because she lost so many of those in her personal inner circle. This interview was before the loss Lee Sun-kyun's suicide too. I cant even imagine how much sadness is in IU world.
