Pretty sure that the stepping with front leg or racket leg is debated and usually just personal preference - I recall watching badminton insight talk about it in their return of serve video.
I did this in my last games as my opponents were weak with those, making them a little more tired. They either miss the shuttle or not step back enough. We're beginners :)
it's generally the right idea but it doesnt matter whether you lead with the non-dominant leg or step through with the dominant leg. there are advantages and disadvantages to both way and if you watch elite players you'll see plenty of both ways. many players will insist their way is faster to the net, but neither way is even slightly faster. i lead with the non-dominant leg and i have my reasons but i do not adopt the belief that it is The correct way-- it's just the way that works for me
Standby raket setinggi itu pas tunggu service emang bagus klo ambil bola depan. Tp dgn standby posisi itu, musuh pasti akan banyak kasih service flick. Pasti susah balikin nya
It's not for everyone and is more relevant if you stand close to the front service line. If you can't do that exact step, don't worry! You can still hit very good service returns :)
If that's the way you return the serve with back leg, then you should never do that 😅 go learn to the likes of Gideon, sonoda, cai yun, Kevin, ect ect... Who almost always return the short serve with back leg
Hehe search up a professional doubles match and you will know :) It's not the easiest to learn so you can always keep the way you're currently doing it until you've learnt this way

Yep, you do you!
The number of players who lift every service return !!! I get frustrated but they say "I play for fun and like to defend". 😢😢😢
I hope they’re good a defending 😄
To be fair, lifting (more like a drive or low lift) can be pretty effective when to their backhand (atleast at non-competitive levels of play)

Solution: Don't play with casual players

😍😍
Wait.I have a question. What if I prepare like that and people serve the ball high or long behind the court? How am I able to return it?Ty
U can't. Forget abt that point and move on to the next point and never repeat the same mistake 😂
@@mr.shanky 🤣
Prob jump high like a frog and return the serve 🗿😂
Step with front leg needs less time than with back leg. That's the theoretical basis anyway.
just move backwards its not like its impossible to move back while doing this I have done it before
Kalo stanby gitu trus dilob gimna coba bang
Can we step out while returning?? Also, can we jump and do a smash return???
I find I have a weaker attack as I have to move back more if they flick the serve.
Same
