Please don’t fall into the consumer money trap of which camera is better. “It’s not the car, it’s the driver” the best camera for you is the one you can afford. Learn your equipment and its limitations and make the best of it.
+ depends on the county.. you can get better gear for less money. For example - a used gear market in the US very saturated, so I can find great gear in a greate shape for the price what would be insane (low) in other countries 😔🤷
ya tru
So you advise people to buy garbage, not a quality camera...Why do you get bad advice, poor guy ???
thx for the insight man.. you are my parameter for camera stuff.. god bless you..
I have a Canon R8. It takes amazing photos and videos. You need to get good glass. You have to do that with any camera. I’ve had no problem editing using Adobe software.
This video it's perfect for me, thank you for all the specifications.. it's a very helpful to clarify doubts!
*I love my FX30 because I care more for Video then Photos. I've never owned a Cinema Level Camera entry level or not it's a Learning curve coming from a ZV-1 & a6400 and even my ZV-E10. But color is always subjective to everyone. Some people can't tell the difference between the (2) if you're using Program settings or Auto. I'm still learning color correction for my FX30 but it's still a learning, but I've learned if ya take your time no matter WHAT you get it'll be fine*
I’ve used most of the brands, but when it came to buying the gear myself, I chose Sony over Canon in most cases. I’m a photographer first and Sony has never failed me and even my old a6000 and a7r2 still outperforms some newer cameras with video af. Their third party lens options are a major determining factor for me as many of those lenses perform as good or better than first party lenses from other camera manufacturers on their own bodies. I still like my Canon gear as well as some others though.
You forgot to mention something about Sony and 3rd party lenses. Sony cameras that can shoot faster than 15fps has that capped off lower if you use 3rd party.
I run an R7 and adapt lenses, including 3rd party with absolutely zero issues. Even an older EF 70-200 F2.8L version 2 has very fast and accurate AF on that R7. The only lense I have AF issues with is the Sigma 150-600C, where it loses subject at the 600 end quite easily. I do wish it had better low light performance, but it's not bad for a Canon APS-C. I do have plans to eventually grab an R6mkII. I am still, for the most part, happy going Canon since my first camera over 16 years ago with the RebelXT.
I’m glad I found your channel!!! I bought two Sony Zve10 just by watching your videos! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Awesome! Thank you!
also great cameras
Which is best for photography, Sony or canon? Specifically a6400 or r50?
Bro tell me hard to decide whether to go with canon r6 mk ii or sony a7iv…Majorly i shoot photos and videos… I want a clarity photo and video tell me your point of view
Where does one go to if they want to look at these cameras before buying? I am in the Toronto area and was shocked when I went to a local Best Buy and there was only 2 cameras on display. Even Henry's store don't much stock for customers to try.
vistek is really good. Im surprised henry did not have them. Sony also has a lot of events where you can come in and try the gear.
You just answered my question. Thanks.
No problem!
How is the autofocus same when when Sony cannot do eye tracking focus and cross focus? Major issue i have faced is when something overlaps my subject i loose focus, the cross focus is a game changing tech. But i like the video, thank you for the detailed explanation.
Thank you. My focus was to get good photos without hassles and good videos on fast pace activities. I believe canon is the best option for me, and for the videos ill focus on my action cameras. Basicly it ends up on what you need for your style and environment.
Thank you. I actually own and shoot both Canon, currently either the EOS R5, and Sony with both high end full size full frame bodies and two of their new compact bodies. Currently don’t do video but really should start. I do like that for Sony I can get a smaller and lighter body and lenses to pack small and the fact they have higher resolution and bodies with higher frame rates that are available in mallet bodies. I still like Canon though and was happy to see them move to mirrorless. My entire DSLR collection was Canon only. Take care.
great analysis. I like sony for the smaller bodies too. I think if you wanna do video. as of right now sony is the way to go
What camera between the Nikon Zf and the Canon R6 Mark ii would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
ohhh. It so hard to say because they are both for different types of shooters. But if you just looked at the internal specs the r6 mk ii is way better in terms of sheer tech and horse power
Zv E10-2 or Canom R8? First time buyer looking for hybrid with 80% video shoots, for youtube long format video and short bootstraped movie creations. But a single video clip duration should not be greater than 15 mins, looking for a long term option which I can ehnace with lens and toolsets later on. 99% videos will be shot indoors under controlled lightings.
Great question. SO the zve10 mk ii is alot cheaper than the r8 . And while the r8 is more expensive it has much better specs. The r8 on paper is better in almost everyway. however the r8 actually has a shorter battery and the canon rf mounts limits you to canon lenses.
The r8 is definitly the better camera IF you want full frame sensor. But if you don't need full frame and are not shooting cinematic content. I would say get the a6700 instead. its basically a better vbersion of the zve10 mk ii but has a better battery life and better argonomics compared to the r8
Question, where does Nikon Z series fall into? Interms of photo and video.....
Nikon is like the dark horse thats going to be making waves. the line up isnt consistent in quality and value all the way throuhg. But if in a year or so as new cameras come in, nikon will be a top 3 brand in cameras
Was a Canon shooter for 20+ years. After the switch from EF to RF and no incusion of 3rd party lenses. I decided I would try a Sony A7 IV at the same time as I owned my Canon R6. I ended up selling all my canon gear for Sony. Why? I could buy much more lenses for the same price of just a couple of Canon RF lenses.
I don't understand same prices for g-master lenses...
Not all of them are that expensive. Plus you have third party lenses
@@TechThroughTheLens you already have 3rd party on rf too, so I don't understand your point... G-masters are same as L, non lenses are cheap and there are many of them
Been with Canon for a bit. Holding on to my 5DMk IV. Wondering if now is the time to jump to the dark side with Sony or pony up for the Canon R line. I do love those rich creamy Canon photos. Feels like Apple Vs Android. Funny enough I’m looking potentially jump from Apple to android. My 15 pro max was not quite what i thought it would be for the money. Great video btw. Played out the pros & cons well without being too biased.
thank-you i really appreciate the kind words. I would say hold onto your 5d mk IV and only upgrade if you want better video, faster shooting or better lenses. Otherwise the 5d mk IV is a gem of a camera
Wait for r5 m2
which one is best for photo & 120 fps FHD Video r6ii ot Zf
easily the r6 mk ii
The best camera is the one you have in your hands at any moment. Nevertheless, I *LOVE* the design of Sony lenses recently, particularly the manual aperture control. This isn’t often talked about. The design feels traditionally photo-centric. I use aperture priority 90% of the time. The Sony GM lenses are on par or better than Canon’s best lenses. And the AI assisted autofocus is ridiculously good. I wouldn’t say Sony is perfect, but they’ve certainly made a compelling case.
I feel like sony pushes their tech to the edge a bit harder and sometimes things break. Where canon kinda takes their time and puts stuff out when its ready. But it leads to their tech being slower to catch up
As usual amazing content 🎉
thankyou
Wideo=Sony Pictures=Canon
I would agree! but i think its more about the ecosystem and which brand focuses on your type of content
@@TechThroughTheLens 👍♥️
Best of both worlds ... Nikon
I am planning to switch to sony because of its lens availability. Canon lenses are damn expensive.
You are sony lover
You neglected to mention that with Canon’s EF to RF adapter you can use any Canon or third party EF lenses, so you have much more choice. Stating that you can only use Canon lenses on Canon mirrorless cameras is misleading.
that is a great point! I did ntt mention it because I think most people just wanna use native glass/ But fair point sir
All lens mounts have these adapters, and they usually sacrifice performance so it doesn't really add much
this is a way better answer! you should come consult for us
@@Zelmak1 that's not the case with Canon EF lenses on their mirrorless cameras. Many people use them with great success.
@@TechThroughTheLens not a sir
Pls tell me about dynamic range.. now canon is open for third party lenses…and today sigma has released their first RF lens… In my opinion canon is user friendly… we can use less expensive cards… only problem I have faced is dynamic range … Sony and Nikon have better dynamic range…
It depends on the sensor tbh.
Short answer: mine!!!
Thanks
Welcome
Sony makes camera sensors for iPhones
If the R6 Mii is good in low light then so is the R8 ?
nah, not really, r8 doesnt have ibis
same sensor, so yes, In terms of iso performance . but Like the comment above me said , the r8 doesnt have ibis. SO it depends on if you need to do slow shutter photos. For video it should be fine
@@TechThroughTheLens thank you
One word, cost. 😂😂
As long as your shutter speed is fast enough, you'll be fine, I've done low light on an r50 and it looked great
Please add chapters to your videos.
I use and love both but overall I get the look i want faster with canon. It gives me a faster workflow saving me $. Sony has better dynamic range which i love but client dont care about that. They won't their project fast! Canon feels better in my hands too.
Very fair points. And i tend to agree especially with the speed part
Doesn’t matter. Hone your skills and you’ll be fine with either one
nikon for video internal raw, for photo stack sensor, z8 z9
i agree
I want a Full Frame Sony camera with a budget of Canon R8
I would say the sony a7III and sony a7c are great choices. also, the a7r III. very under rated camera
Sony a1 updating soon pls make a video if still relevant thank you.
I have not heard anything about the a1. But i think more than likely instead of upgrading the a1. We will get a cinema version of that camera. Like the FX3 body but witht he a1 sensor
@@TechThroughTheLens thank you for your thoughts, is the a1 Worth 4000 British pounds brand new? What's your thought
The sony camera seems better. I like my video colors being true to life.
Whilst Sony and Canon have been sleeping, Nikon is quietly smashing it.
I just played the new nikon z8. thats a killer camera
Pentax!!!
Short Answer: Sony
LOl no my intention but yah maybe
Im trying to decide between Canon R50 and Sony a6400. But... i want to have a camera* that's good both in video and photo without paying a lot 😅
Hey , i have a r50. And to be honest the camera is top notch. But there are very less lens availabilities. Probably in the future it will be not a problem as you see sigma just launched. And r50 is a really small camera. But Sony a6400 i have less info about it. But i know for a fact that is nearly 5 years old.
1000% the a6400. It is so much better. The sony zve10 mk ii also just came out. check that one out
Real photographer knows that canon is and will always better then ps5
Sony alpha 7iii or canon r8 😢i am confused any help 😅
1000% for the canon r8. The only downside is that small battery but for the most part its better in every way
@@TechThroughTheLens thanks a lot 😊
@@MohamadNeameh make sure check out r7.
@@andyuong8593 i am asked you because now canon r8 1999$ on sale and cheaper than r7 about 500$ , r7 2499$
@@MohamadNeameh I don't know where you see those price. Maybe with the kit lens but I don't recommend those just get the body only maybe. Save money for better lenses
damn, sony is good with it's auto focus? that's a first lol
they have incredible autofocus
The video makes impression of the gatekeeping opinion of the Sony lover. From the first two minute you can see that author don't really try to make an independent comparison.
It's very long time that Sony not outperforming Canon cameras in low light. They are almost identical in that field. Autofocus on Sony is not better than on Canon. In most cases Canon autofocus will outperform Sony. Yes, Canon just started to open the mount for third party companies, but in same time Canon doesn't limit users with third party lenses in camera performans, and Sony does limit you in frame rate. If you want to see real results - just watch more trustful comparisons. For example Jared Polin or Tony and Chalsey Northrop. Or PetaPixel Guys, even they give a bit less detailed information in comparisons.
i respectfully disagree sony is much better in low light and has better autofocus. you can look up multiple lab tests
the answer is nikon
Honestly maybe, i just played witht he z8 and holy smokes that a cool cameras
You didn’t mention battery life 🙂??
each camera has a different battery . so it depends on your model
@@TechThroughTheLens some people say that canon has poor battery life compared to sony .so I wonder if that’s true or not 😗
Short Answer : Sony
Long Answer : Canon
Short Long Answer : Nikon
Even longer answer. Nikon and sony camera body with sony lenses. You can also use sony lenses on nikon with an adapter.
sony cameras looks cooler
LOL i like the curves ont he canon, But i see your point
All FF Sony cameras has the same design idea. Canon in the other hand cannot even decide when to place on/off button 😂
Sony>> Canon
All Sony propaganda by a Sony fanboy! You can COMBINE all the major 3rd party lens maker + all the Chinese brands….and still will not match the shear volume of over 150 million EF glasses out there, that will seamlessly adapt to an RF body, no issues whatsoever!
So you wanna by a new camera and use lenses made 10 years okay. If you compare a rf lens to a ef the difference is massive
Hello can i get your attention pls
howdy
CANON IS DEAD!!!)
Long live SONNY!!!!!!!
I don't know if i would go as far as dead. Canon is still thriving
Long answer: SONY
Even longer answer: nikon
I will be financially secure!!! 🩷😇
Buying camera make us financially insecure LOL
