What a disgrace, just like the natatorium in Waikiki. And $6+ million to scrap a boat? Is there anything the state or C&C can do properly?
I think that ship is a Landmark! If I had that much money, I would Buy it and fix it up to its normal Glory! Aloha

there's plenty of yard-decor still mounted to the vessel; the chains & rope make niche fencing; there're things to sell on board, just disassemble & market the stuff.
