    This was what I have been looking for. We are on the list for a pool install and was wondering how long the process would be. You also gave me what all is involved in the process of the build. I intend on doing a time lapse video of our build as well. As it stands, my wife and I are to meet with the builders today to go over some more things with our build. Thanks for you video.

    6:01 They're not just covering the pipes with sand, they're putting sand UNDER the pipes, to reinforce them, and to separate them from the concrete that will be poured on top of them.

    Any issue with digging for pool equipment so close to your foundation? I’m worried about that on my upcoming project

      Nope. Las Vegas soil is very hard. I wouldn't worry about the home foundation. Thank you for watching.

    How many times are you gonna say the word calichi? That's why I don't, and won't, live out west. I have to deal with Georgia clay, but it's not as bad as the ground you have to deal with.

    I like the way you did This video very helpful for people who what to have one, like me lol. my question is. you said 12x36 is that the inside or outside top of the pool measurement.

    Soils testing before hand. Get everything in writing, deadlines, inspections, quality control. And above all, watch out for Vegas Contractors. Always try to charge more than contracted price

    Wow you got off cheap w the caliche issue. $135/hr is wicked cheap. Ours was thousands extra for a small area of caliche. It broke the machine too. Small set back. Our neighbors entire 20x40 9ft deep pool was caliche so it took 6 days to dig.

    Thinking of a inground. I understand that concrete pools are more maintenance than vinyl liners and not a big fan of drop in pools

      We love the infloor cleaner and we never have to clean the pool. Its worth it.

      @@puremarble Well worth the 6k for virtually no maintenance. Still need to clean the skimmer and pool filter pump but when leaves or dirt get in the pool its gone after about an hour or 2. And its fun to watch it all work. Haha

    Have your pool concrete deck crack by any means ? I’m starting a pool project and I like concrete better that pavers but people say eventually concrete will crack ?

      There are a few cracks but it's minimal and it can be fixed easily. Concrete is better than pavers in my opinion.

      Do the people that pour the concrete stamp the ground foundation before the pour and do they rebar the framing or it was a steel mech and concrete and that it ? Thanks for the response

    Great video! Question, how deep is the baja step or sun shelf? We're thinking of putting a bubbler on ours but it's going to be about 17" of water.

      I think it's 6 inches. Its very shallow which is great for little kids like 1 or 2 year Olds. The bubbler is nice but the water fall is my favorite. Thank you for watching and happy swimming!

      It took 90 days and cost about 50,000 with a large patio too.

    Nice video. We installed a pool 5 years ago and I still enjoy seeing these (especially for new ideas around the patio etc). I think for Hera you had done that was not too bad of a price. Here in the northeast I think you could have added an additional 20 to 25 grand on top of that for what you had done. Your coat per hour for the calichi removal I would also think is reasonable, in 2017, going labor rate with machine for any type of excavation work locally was 115 to 150 an hour depending on company, and I am in the boonies of NY state.

      Its called calichi which is everywhere in Las Vegas and while filming this video I watched both machines break. They used a smaller machine for 4 hours until the first one got repaired on site. They only charged for 2 hours of calichi removal. Thanks for watching!

      3 months. Luckily no delays. My neighbors have had quite a few delays because of material shortages. They have been building there pools got 5 months.
