Multiplayer options do work actually, but not how you expect. It's like a full 2P mode, in which Taz and She-Taz can destroy signs. But when She-Taz or Taz destroy sth, Taz will always be the one in the cutscene. Also, you can enable this mode even in the release version with multiplayer option in the Debug Menu.
