I know this is a older video but I after watching this I feel confident about installing a new cam and it's going to save me a descent amount of $. So now I can have a new set of rear tires also. For that I thank you Mr. Cuervo and I'll also be purchasing your fan kit very soon Thanks again and Live Fast & Ride Smooth 🤙🏻👍🏻
Great videos man. New subscriber here. Learning a lot. Just curious, what would happen if you remove the decompressor, rotating shaft and pin? Harder start? No start at all?
I would like to see a video specific to troubleshooting slow cranking and how to test and verify the damper assy is good. There is no known info on the web about this very important part of the starting system.
Thanks for taking the time to do this video, Are there any noticeable gains in installing an aftermarket cam with the stock 10:1 compression piston on these 2015+ bikes?
It really don't matter. That engine that's been ran will be plenty lubed up there where the cam in. Even a little Transgender or rotella motor oil or any oil really will be just fine.
Great vid brother, rite now I have a big 3. Want more power was thinking going with big bore kit, stage 2 cam, and ported throttle body. Any advice on whether that’s a good combo to go with or any other options to go with?
How will this effect reliability and how is it noticeable power on a raptor that already has the big 3, ive heard its not worth it I've also heard its a huge power gain what yall think?
What cam do you recommend for a 2014 raptor 700 with open lid, pro design intake kit, power commander V, and full hmf exhaust? I’m stuck between stage 1 and stage 2, I’ve heard good/bad about both. Any help would be appreciated!
Stage 2 bro. It's perfect for your setup I just switch from.hmf to barkers and it's even better. Go with 2. Your setup can handle 1 and 2 mostly stock, 3 is another story
Do I have to get the hot cam chain? I have the Barkers big 3 kit after I get this stage 3 hot cam what else can I get to gain hp? Do you recommend dual springs?
Hey man, fantastic videos, I wished I discovered then earlier. I have a question I am hoping you can help with a concern. I had my quad out earlier and it started making this noise like sprocket noise or chain roller noise and i smelled this really intense burning smell that was real chemically, any ideas
MrCuervoRacing ya know I went from the chain guard to the roller as my first conclusions but I wasn't convinced it could make a smell like it did but it is seized. You are good man!! I wished I found you when I had gas in my oil and pulled my head, at least 15 different videos to cover what you do in one. So ya. I'm a big fan
Is doing all this stuff essential if you’re just using the quad to trail ride ? Like I have 2016 and it’s completely stock. Is the big 3 a must and if so will it hurt the engine in any way if you don’t add hot cams or bigger throttle body ? And if you do add just the big 3. Do you absolutely need to keep adding stuff to engine or just properly maintain it and will work just fine ? Have so many questions
I know this is for a raptor and that is what you specialize in but what about 2016 grizzly is there anything available cam wise that you know of or anyone i can direct my question to any advise is mush appreciated
I know its an old video i already have full exhaust fuel custom intake with box and a power commander do i need anything else to run this cam or i should have no power using this cam
So question? So I have to lose then valves for me to take out and install the cam. I knoe I have to adjust it for the new cam. Just wasn't sure if I have to take it lose before taking out
I installed a stage 3 hotcam on my raptor and adjusted my valves but they seem to make a louder ticking noise is that normal after installing a stage 3 cam?
Engine stage 3 is for raceing the stage 3 cam opens the valve more and faster to allow more flow u could hurt ur engine if ur engine is stock problems could be piston valves clearance problems also u would to upgrade ur valve springs its better to stay in the 1 or 2 for stock
Hey man. Quick question. I pulled my 700 out of the garage to get the lawn mower out parked it and went to put it back in and it just cranks than backfires and idea?
Why don't dirt bikes have the decompression mechanism or atleast the ones I've owned??? It's a bitch to start those if you don't get the engine in the right position before you kick it

Cuando el seguro está afuera es para bajar la válvula de escape y desp con las rpm sube
What is the main difference on installing the 06-08 700s? Step wise, I seen the bearing but wondering what I gotta do that’s different!
Hi, based on your knowledge, what can I combine with a stage 3 camshaft as a piston? I have the FCI intake and a double empire exhaust. Thankss ::)))

do you need to install 50m throttle on a raptor 700 when you do a stage 3 camshaft
Thanks...great vids. Ya need a head mount camera 🖒

Rapt-up 700 yes. We have doing a ton of them with the Hotcams 3. They work great with our +3 mm throttle body bore. Power jumps from 53-54 up to 61-62
The instructions say to lather the cam in redline assembly lube before essembly. Is this recommended?
It really don't matter. That engine that's been ran will be plenty lubed up there where the cam in. Even a little Transgender or rotella motor oil or any oil really will be just fine.
How do you “seat” the cam upon first start up after installation?
I have big 3 what else do I need before cam?
Amazing video, greatly detailed.

can I use an 08 cam in my 16 if I pull the bearing off the end of the 08 cam?
Yes you can. I just installed in and it fits just fine.
I have an 07 Raptor. What are the different steps you mention in your video?
Must you rejet after this upgrade ??
The 700 is fuel injected. At the worst you'd need a programmer and a tune

Brandon Tappan maybe the lower roller under the swingarm locked up.

hey man whats up wanted to ask you a question what mods can i do expect yhe big three without hirting the engine i mean everyday bike
Camshaft and bored throttle body bore are great options
hotcam stage ?
I have a 07 raptor programmer and full exhaust with intake what stage cam should I buy
Do I need to upgrade my valve spring and retainers?
What is the difference between 2 and 3 cams?
Mid and high rpm power range
I bought these and on the directions it had so many cautions should I be worried it said if cam shaft is installed wrong it will break the engine
If installed correctly there is no concern. The 700 Hotcams are drop in . Meaning no additional parts are required for fitment
Or thank u

hi bud ....is there any tutorial for a 2006 model

So question? So I have to lose then valves for me to take out and install the cam. I knoe I have to adjust it for the new cam. Just wasn't sure if I have to take it lose before taking out
No. If it has proper lash than it will slide out
does it damage the engine and what does it do thanks
Can you do one on yfz
I installed it and put new oil and oil filter in and when I started it it started to rattle/ticking sound
I installed a stage 3 hotcam on my raptor and adjusted my valves but they seem to make a louder ticking noise is that normal after installing a stage 3 cam?
Yes it hits harder on the values

Samuel Pineda not true. The stage 3 hot cam is fully compatible with a stock engine.
Is tuning required after cam Install?
Yes. Tune required
