How heavy is the 700 engine? Anybody ever weight one?
Just some internet math 🧮 Raptor engine weights close to 100lbs roughly 40lbs heavier than the 450r engine. Then factor in the raptor holds more oil, and more fuel 😅
thank you for the answer. I'm trying to balance the weight of my banchee engine and compare it to the weight of modern four strokes
@@Floridawoodsbanshee Nice! I think you will for sure come in well under a modern 4 stroke.
@limitlesspowersports yeah, I had no idea four stroke engines weighed that much. I just did a top end and leak down test. She's all sealed up and ready to go back in a freshly powdercoated frame.
I lightened the frame, and I'm using a lot of lighter aftermarket parts on this build.
@limitlesspowersports I think I will buy a scale and try to measure the overall weight of the bike. Would be cool to have it well under 400 lbs.
What can cover you got there?
Got this one off a used Raptor 700r that came in. To me it looks like one of the $80 covers off eBay. The o-ring seems to fit good and no leaks so far.
