- Astronauts at the International Space Station posted a video over the weekend of their pizza party. The pizza fixings were sent after Italian Astronaut Paolo Nespoli said how much he missed his favorite food.

@Cameron. A iWell one pound cost about 10000$ to bring up into space. Cameras are really heavy. "nd point. The data sent is always highly compressed because they have a limited bandwidth.

Kinda like Apollo. No shortage of photos 1,400 but try to fund 20 let alone 30. They brought back almost 1/2 a ton of moonrock. Yet Apollo 11 landing looks like 1830s photographic experiments
for humans greatest achievement. Even 1857 photos of Queen Victorias family or 1893 film of here are far higher in quality.

it was turned into a liquid type topping. That creaming stuff that they put on top the sauce and then spread around as well was the cheese. Shredded cheese would be a big no-no on the space station as it would most likely end up going everywhere.

Wait for a second! I just ate that same type of pizza from Costco. They come in packs of 2 small pizzas and you put the sauce on and your own toppings. The plastic bags confirmed the first remark.

Yes, everything floats. Even the blood inside your body floats which is why astronauts heads often look puffy and red; their heads are getting too much blood because gravity isn't there to guide it better towards your feet. It's like doing a handstand for a year at a time.

I'm not sure. I doubt they would make that a rule because most men masturbate at least once a week, especially if they are away from their wife or girlfriend for several months. I hate to be that guy, but this isn't how it is "in space" as they said. The reason that everything there is weightless is because they are constantly falling, not because they're in space. There's gravity everywhere, so if they weren't falling they'd still weigh about 90% their won Earth's surface.

And that is why they set aside about 12-14 hours a week for exercise per crew member. They use stationary bikes (without a seat, but _with_ a “seatbelt”), treadmills (with backpack-style harnesses with elastics to keep the runner on the treadmill) and a beast of a device with big vacuum cylinders for “weightlifting”-type resistive exercise. The bikes are primarily for cardiovascular exercise, the treadmills also put some stress on the skeleton with the impact of each step, and the last one, called the ARED, works just like weightlifting, providing all the associated muscular and skeletal loads associated with that.

The crew on the ISS are typically “just” the hands and eyes for the scientists running the investigations in the laboratories there, but there have been occasions when an astronaut’s previous job has been relevant to the tasks they’ve been assigned. For example, when they sequenced DNA in space for the first time, it was only natural that microbiologist Dr Kate Rubins was the one to do it. The current crew has three from military backgrounds and three engineers (four if you count the oceanographer who is also an engineer), and only one “proper scientist”, but obviously they all help the PIs run experiments.
