@@user-lz3nq2oe2h Dark Magician decks require 3 cards to work, a dark magician in the GY, Eternal Soul and Dark Magical circle, if you want any sort of competitiveness, you'll need to fusion summon Dark Magician the Dragon Knight to protect your spell and trap card which in turn protect the monster. There is no combo that can get you all 3 cards on the field; all other competitive decks can get a full combo in with one or two cards; for this combo for DM, you'll need 4 or 5 cards. So you'll need Maxx C to draw all the cards you need and cannot be interrupted or else you have nothing. Even if you get it, it's only 1 interruption per turn and it's targeted. It's slow and not very powerful.

This is great, but unfortunately every hand had a maxC. DM decks if given enough cards, can be pretty competitive.
Yeah but it can also very easily lose to one interruption
