Of course, we are excited about iOS 18 and iPad I guess. It’s the same thing and it all depends on how you use your device I love iOS 18 and I’m sure when I download the iPad 18 update I’ll be satisfied. I’m running the Public Beta on my phone. I think I’ll wait for my iPad.
If they allowed icons to be closer together, that would be a real improvement. Free placement does not matter when my Home Screen is a few widgets and app and about half are folders so I can access the apps that do not fit on the Home Screen.

I never download a beta update as my income depends on a stable OS. I do however update to the latest OS as soon as released for exactly the same reason as each closes a number of security issues.

My main suggestion is that you talk a little bit slower. You were on high speed throughout and that made things hard to follow. Great presentation though-but on steroids.

For my M4 configuration, I opted for their nano screen. I love it. Now that all of that is out of the way, there are many features in iPadOS 18 that I truly enjoy. My favorite is scheduled text messages. I feel Apple has missed the mark yet again in their support of iPad Pro. Firstly, there is no journal app; the password app is meh and doesn’t have key features like the ability to add favorites. I may feel this way because Apple hasn’t released the beta of any of its AI features, so I will reserve judgment.
I cant change the grid size of my homescreen, i cant put files on my home screen (i dont want a widget), such a powerfull hardware the least apple could do is provide hypervisor support. tbh the ipad os feels like a OS which cannot walk and talk at the same time.

New Photos app is a mess. Just give us our Recents main view back. If we want other features we can go use them, but get them out of our way until we chose to want them.
Apple is being lazy much of it is just gimmicks advertised as major updates... when Apple - Comes up a with a creative new type of top menu bar for touch - Introduces more powerful dialog boxes - Redesigns the settings app so that it doesn't jarringly move to a completely new page for one setting - Allows documents/shortcuts to be placed on the desktop with a better version of stacks where you can put what you want in them - Makes a files app that functions like the Finder, no App based folders just Documents, Pictures, Music etc - Automatically syncs these between cloud, mac & phone with option to download which ones you want - Gets rid of that long winded finicky button that gets in the way of moving windows - Replaces it with three touch friendly traffic light buttons for consistent design for close, minimise and full screen - Simplifies the whole windowing system to one approach: stage manager with fully movable/resizable windows - Insists Microsoft port over desktop office for it, allows Logic Pro to load AU instruments Then I'll take iPadOS seriously as a tablet operating system and consider spending £1300 on one 🙂
This is off-topic 🧐 do I really need a one terabyte that has the 16 gigs of ram I plan on editing photos and videos on my 11 inch device… I’ve looked at all the parameters of the additional core what it’s supports. It’s only like 8% and with the exception of the one core and ram with the one terabyte and the additional performance score.. it’s kind of got me out of loss. I know it isn’t a big deal but it kind of is. there’s nothing wrong with headroom to do more work👍🏻 if it demand thank you kindly🐬
It truly depends, I doubt it. You'd most likely be find with 256GB and an External Drive. I personally went for the 1TB model for one reason. It's my main computing device. I don't use a MacBook or another laptop.
I’ve got a 14 Pro Max one terabyte.. I plan on upgrading to the 16 Pro max and if they have 2 TB, that’s what I’ll get… Yeah, I went on geek bench and they’re like it’s less than 10% performance for the one core.. and the eight gig gram management for iOS for pad is six gig allocation and then two gig for processor stability.. then the one terabyte is 12 gigs offered for task and four gigs allocated to processor storage.. so either way as far as ram I don’t think anybody will run into an issue.. and the 10% or 8% in a performance jump is really negligible.. I’ve got a 256 gig right now. But my window to exchange you know almost that time.. if you have anything else, just let me know. Thanks for hitting me up.

Just a feedback from someone who likes the channel: These misleading titles, and nonsense overreacting faces in thumbnails are getting annoying . I wasn’t expecting anything great for this year because last year made it clear that the AI wars have started. Apple would most likely focus on AI. This year the big upgrade is just the Calculator (14 years later), and probably the AI for image generation and texts. Besides that there are only minor improvements. I’m not looking to have MacOS on iPad, but files improvements, better multitasking, multiple sound outputs at the same time with volume controls, and better Apps. I will not replace my Mac, like most people the iPad is not enough for me to replace my Mac, I just want to be able to do more with it.

Charge and play to limit 80%. When the battery is full, it will not count additional charging cycles.
