I have an 11” M1 iPad Pro and have been very impressed with battery life in the latest developer beta. I’m guessing I’m getting about 30% better battery life.
Can I just say thank you for caring enough about iPad that you give updates on the betas specifically for iPadOS! Too many channels just focus on iOS and write off the latter! I love your work!!!
I have the Public Beta on my iPad Mini 6th generation. While I have not drained it fully, I haven’t noticed a significant change in the battery life so far.
I have downloaded iPadOS 18 Public beta on my 11” iPad Air M2 and the battery life is quite good if I don’t have an intensive use of it; it’s ok for me and very stable, like iOS 18 on iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Nice updates. Once you open a hidden app, you must close it for it to be invisible again? Or if it is open and you swipe to another screen and come back to it, will it require Face ID to view?
I know that it may be off topic but , apart from the glamour that Apple shows when a new product is out...and from a hardware point of view iPad m4 is a giant... Just one question....as for working with Logic Pro, as an example, in mobility...is it possible that there is no way to export your own mixdown or final track directly or indirectly to one of your music playlists (without computer)? You always have to export it as a file and you can never import that file into music app within iPad OS .... I think that Apple should solve at least this basic stuff when defining a professional product.

Beta testing should be for tweaking features before a final release. I feel like we’re watching IOS 18 being built every two weeks along with the engineers at Apple. Don’t release a beta version until the ddamn thing is done.
*Developer* betas are for developers, my friend. How are developers supposed to test their apps without developer betas? Also… sorry, but a “done beta version” is an oxymoron. If the whole thing is done why would you release a beta?
@@martin_isla and how are they supposed to test apps based on promised features when Apple is months away from releasing all of the features. It’s hard to test when you only get 5 percent of something.

I mean apps open in the background can cause it to drain battery so try low power mode or swipe out your apps

@@WSLMRADIO1 you don’t get it. I have to test MY apps to see if any of the code changes in the new version broke it. Apple’s apps are Apple’s problem.
