    I know this an old video, but an easy way to remove the liners from the scales is to screw in your pocket clip on the liner side and use that as a "handle" to pry the liner out.

    Quite the ordeal huh? Sweet choice on the scales. They really do look great, and I'm sure they feel great too.

    Try the skinny mod if you haven't yet, I was skeptical on it actually being a functional mod but it does actually feel more comfortable to me

    Skinny para 3 scales look nice but they take away greatly from the ergonomics, if fells like theres nothing in the back half of your hand.

    Rad mod Jake. Those look great. Hoping Ripp’s gets some copper scales back in stock soon. It’ll add weight but I think they look dope.

    • @beardedgear
      @beardedgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks man! I think copper scales would look dope, I tried ti scales on a PM2 once and it just wasn’t for me unfortunately. I like light PM2’s and Para3’s 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Beautiful micarta.. though I would’ve went with black clip and black hardware, it pops with the blue Jean micarta

    Did the flytanium press fit pin/spacer by the front of the knife make your compression lock have lock stick? I noticed my press fit pin from flytanium was slightly larger or more tighter fitting than the stock one and plus the compression lock being steel rubbing against the titanium press fitting ends up galling and causing lock stick.

    Is Titanium Hardware more or less prone to stripping( T6, T8 etc) than standard oem brand's spyderco, bm, etc hardware

    The pivot of my para 3 broke and i ordered one from titanium. You think is going to be as durable? Thank you

    • @beardedgear
      @beardedgear  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The internals of the pivot or just the screws? The Flytanium screws are great, but they don’t replace the internal component of the pivot.

    • @rustyjocsen5260
      @rustyjocsen5260 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@beardedgear the pivot barrel broke. Spyderco wants me to send it to us from greece. Impossible. I just ordered a titanium barrel fro ebay

    • @beardedgear

      Rusty Jocsen I have never used a titanium barrel, so I have no experience with it. Sorry!

  • @pcxdrone

    Might help if you weren't using that monstrosity of a Benchmade tool to unscrew the screws. I mean there are drivers you know?
