      I saw these at my Ross too! But I chose the Salomon aero glide that was also at Ross! I liked the slightly wider toe box on aero glide but I liked the bounciness of the puma deviate nitro 2. I’m already thinking about going back to grab it just to have in rotation and at $39 it’s a steal!

    at first, i wasn't sure about these puma shoes. so I tried electrify nitro 2 for the light training version first.. the results were very satisfying, namely there were no blisters on the soles of my feet, the knee pain disappeared, and the grip made my running practice more comfortable, no slipping. finally i decided to buy puma deviate nitro 2..again i was amazed with the result. very comfortable on the feet, lightweight for high-speed running practice, agile, and no less than other top-level running shoes.

    I bought the V1 with these heel padding which is weird but really works. They were deeply discounted from a Puma Outlet…. AUD 300+, then $260, then 50% off that. It’s a steal under AUD140. Puma is very good to us budget conscious runners.

    When I buy new running shoes I search for the best fit, comfort cushion weight and bounce, to compare I will wear the new shoe on one foot and the other current favorite on the opposite foot….theses shoes shocked me when I put them on…they were as good and better than most of my other shoes from adidas, Nike, Hoka , ASICS, cloud….at 160.00 they are worth every penny, I picked them up on sale $99. And they come reg and wide width, great great shoe

  • @bionicman9609

    How does the deviate compare to the superblast in terms of comfort? I had the superblast and returned that shoe because the foam was too stiff to run in at easier slower paces which affected my Achilles. Anyone else have any issues like this?

  • @patrickvanderwal6324
    @patrickvanderwal6324 ปีที่แล้ว

    The heel issues have not been resolved yet. I still have some rubbing going on. And I've heard from several other runners who've had the same problem. Other than that, I've got 400km in them now, still almost as good as new and love them.

    So....there's an Nitro Elite, which at some point has gotten an upgrade under the same model name. There also seems to be a non-available Elite 2 now, which might be called different in Europe/UK vs the US. Now this Deviate Nitro 2 does mention "elite" on the midsole, though it's not an actual carbon plated Elite version...
    And than there's also the Deviate Fast-R, which is supposed to be their high end super shoe.
    Puma might be on the right track with their running shoes these days, but they really need to work on their marketing game.

    I have this arriving in the coming week and am really looking forward to it. This will be my first Puma running experience. I have over two dozen road running shoes and another dozen or so trail running shoes from the likes of Nike, Saucony, adidas, ASICS, Hoka, NB, On, Speedland, Salomon, and inov-8, but Puma had never entered my radar, until THIS. Seems like a winner that can handle most road-running requirements short of race day. It seems like the Deviate Nitro 2 will complement my Novablast 3, Endorphin Speed 3, and Mach 5 in the daily trainer category very well.
    I want a different feel, ride, and experience with every running shoe. I want each to have its own thing; not too close to anything I already have and this seems like it has it - something different with its own "character", so to speak. Seems like it's a wee bit heavy due to its heavy-duty outsole but that's cool and offers a feature that my other daily trainers lack. Looks sleek, fast, and cool as well. I used to like Puma back in the day - haha - and it's great to see Puma getting back into the game. The Puma stripe logo is iconic. I'll be checking out more Puma shoes in the future although this one seems to stand out from the pack.
