Just started Star Rail 2 days ago. My first ever pull I get Black Swan.
I think you undervalue Aventurine and the need for additional sustains. If you came with the PS5 release (and that's even a couple of months back) the only limited sustain that you can have is Huohuo (and her banner had a couple of the worst four stars so maybe people even skipped, like myself). This means that many probably run around with Natasha and Lynx (or Gepard or Bailu if they where lucky on standard banner) and it will be a chance to grab a limited sustain.
Not to mention there's a ton of bosses now like that monkey that you need shields to fight effectively (if you use shields it bounces his attack back on him, in MOC that thing is going to hit like 3k a slap). Shielders are going to be required in upcoming MOC content IMO if you can't one cycle it

I absolutely hate DoT but contemplating on getting her just because of the ult and the sounds her gameplay makes 😂

I most likely will skip Sparkle. Non of my teams has really has skill point issues. I use QQ, but she is E6 and works just fine right now.

Blackswan with her stacking mechanics adds a layer of depth and fun, because I end up trying different rotations and teams to get her stacks as close to 50 as possible.
I realy disagree with the Aventurine take... have you considered the possibility that some of us just weren't intrested in Luocha and Huohuo? One is a fing JJ Abrehams mystery box, the other is barely a side character. I'm a waifu puller but isn't the fact that he is much cooler than either of them obvious?
Also, if we only got like 3 limited sustain characters for the rest of the game, it would just feel bad.

Perfect Take! I never pulled for Luocha nor Huo Huo. I 1st team with Fu Xuan is SO easy to play... But 2nd team I need to think(Imagine That!) what TWO sustainers (E4 Nat, E2 Lynx, E6 M7 or Fire MC) will keep my Team alive. If Aventurine can Solo Sustaine MOC10-12 I will go all in for him.... otherwise I MUST pull for Luocha.
As someone who has Fu and Huohuo, I’m still incredibly excited for Aventurine. One’s a mitigator who prevents one-shots, huohuo outputs insane skill heals and consistent top ups and is the perfect sustain for DoT/ energy based characters with her ult, and aventurine should be a full uptime shielder who can assist in FUA teams (particularly with topaz for boosting numby and can work with ratio against imaginary weak). I can’t speak on luocha but as a mega SP generator he also brings something unique, as they all do.
I’m very satisfied with black swan , but I don’t know what happened with my rolls I just got Misha (he is C6) and only one Guinaifen (her baner gave me luka ptsd)
I'm a new player for around 20+ days. The thing that BS changed is I no longer rely on DPS support. I just borrowed a Houhou to clear everything.
The best thing is that dot characters don't need cracked relics to work.
Just get speed, some atk and effect hit rate
Being f2p meant I had to skip Kafka and Black Swan. I was very excited to get DHIL and I am now saving my guaranteed for Sparkle.
I tried for both fuxian(sp?) And huohuo and lost the 50/50s on them. Adventurine seems cool but I'll probably wait for the above to rerun. Gepard and lynx will hold down the fort meantime.
I now have a core nihility team and can focus on possibly vertical investing for a while.
I think I personally got a bit coomer baited because realistically I love acheron way more after playing the story and losing BS 50/50 means I have no pulls left as f2p 😂😂 but at least my kafka team is perfect now and sampo can go stand in the corner

I have Luocha and I'm gunning for Aventurine, and if I'm a nobody and super sus for doing so, so be it!!
I do think he is a preservation dps, purely based on that free lightcone we got 😂😂
Is she powerful? I did her trial and was not impressed one bit, am i missing something?
She needs Kafka to be impressive IMO. But trials are kind of skewed overall anyways so it’s tough

Got her and then failed a 50/50 after a 10 pull. Was fishing for my last Tingyun copy, so it felt pretty good. Feels bad to skip Sparkle, but I can't miss Acheron.
I made the same decision on skipping sparkle to get both bw and acheron ill use them together
"winning with your favourites" cant agree more black swan/ kafka are peak pulls
The ONLY character I NEED is a SECOND Solo Sustainer (Aventurine OR Luocha). I do NOT need ANY other characters since I own SO many good characters(E1 Ruan Mei+LC, BS+LC, Kafka+LC, E2 Bronya+LC, E1 Himeko, Welt+LC, Lunae, Jingliu, Fu Xuan, Seele, SW, Dr. Ratio, E6 Luka, E6 Tingyun, E6 Sampo & E6 Pela). I RATHER go for E1 Black Swan or The LC for JL or Lunae THAN Sparkle OR Archeron. IMO
To me, nothing seems to come close to Kafka, but since she wants Swan, I'll just get her.
This guide is pretty unexpected after you've lost your 50/50 to Yanqing E5 and wanted to uninstall the game :D

You don't get why people are more hyped for waifus than for mechas/armored guys in a Gacha Waifu game? That's pretty obvious to me 😂
