Sorry for some of the disembodied narration. I had actual trash picking clips from my car that apparently got lost in editing. Not sure how that happened. Learning new software is always fun!

Brad Tank The Lord here... TH-cam have given me my main account back after 5 years... yeehah.
I’ve been hauling trash for 14 years now. You find a lot of good stuff in the dumpsters. I currently have a 1990’s tweed classic 30 that I found in a dumpster. It works great and I use it all the time.
about two months ago I am driving through the neighborhood and there is a German console stereo by the curb. It was a Korting Music Werke Delmonico Model 1221, the cabinet had a little water damage and it was humongous, but I gutted it pulled the radio chassis which looks almost identical to a Grundig, the changer was Telefunken labeled and there was an 8" speakers with 2 small 4" and one tweeter per side. All the tubes were Telefunken or Siemens. Sometimes you luck out.
Hey Brad, just remember those lawn boys are two cycles. I think they’re 30 to one if I remember right. Brad that little bitty lawnmower would be best to dump all that out of there and just go get a cheap quarter to thirty white stick in it. I mean a good grave half quart and you got it.
You can buy a mulching blade where you don't need the bagger for the back and you don't have to open up the side opening flap for the mower and so that basically just chops it up really fine over and over again. I'm always amazed at what people throw away in this country not everybody but a lot of people are super wasteful.
You know, Brad, when I was driving around in my Mustang, I’d find all sorts of crap that I could not fit in that damn car. But since I got my extended Econo line, I can’t find a damn thing worth bringing home… Not even a big woman!
Pro tip for those who might GAF. You can make your own PB Blaster at a fraction of the cost. 50/50 mix of Mineral Spirits and Automatic Transmission Fluid. Trust me. Y'all won't be disappointed.
I love you cruise around in an old Jaguar - respect! I'm all for recycle and resurrection - just restored three cassette 4 tracks - two Tascam 424 mk3 and Fostex 380 - I picked up for £30 and now using to do cassette looping workshops with students - such fun!
Great finds Brad! As a collector of Lawn Boy 2 strokes I am jealous of your find. I rarely find any anymore. Like the 4K as well looks great. People throw away so much good stuff. Sad really.
That other object with the speaker in the trash is sweco shake screener you dump powder material into it like ground rubber or sand and it shakes the material through the screen good material falls through the screen and the pieces that are not small enough to get shaken off the top and they send that material back to a grinder to be ground smaller
i have watched you for many many years and and your freaking genius and always to the point and that's what i have always loved about you . if it was not for your videos i would not have fixed a lot of stuff . ignorance is very expensive but they always have guys like us to help them out lol even though it is expensive. thanks for the videos
Waste not want not!! I really like your attitude on life.... You remind me of me!! LOL Thanks, Brad, for your bluntness and philosophy... Ron Wood (gold star father)
When I lived in Amsterdam, I found a large pair of speakers in a skip. They looked to be home made, with a capsule shaped cone. I only had an Amsterdamer bike with the rear rack, I took them, one at a time, took one home, then when back for the other, hooked them up to my amp, and they were awesome, you could feel your clothes vibrating and feel the bass in your chest. I’d still have them today, but I moved back to England and they were just too big to take...
The oil level on the small Briggs engines requires tightening the dipstick all the way, then checking. Honda engines are the only small engine that don’t require tightening the dipstick to check.
The needle and seat is sticking open on the little mower and letting the fuel bypass the seat and then going past the rings and then the excess fuel ends up in the sump. New needle and seat and carb clean will fix it.
I know I'm a hoarder I quit collecting stuff so many years ago and I still got way too much stuff and now I got to move and I'm going to lose everything
I also have that little green guy. Runs like a champ for years. Had a lawn boy before that that I had since I was 15. It mowed over 20 yards a summer for over 15 years.
Got home and looked at my Ring camera footage and saw some random dude pulling up and taking my trash...then I realized it was BRAD FROM TH-cam!!! LMAO!!! JK. ;) BTW, I respect your resourcefulness and technical skills and knowledge, that's part of why I love your channel.
i threw papers for the last ten years until they fired us all and started mailing them instead. during this time i was the first one on the scene at the curb. i've been enjoying your forays into facebook marketplace because selling my gear has become a way to make a few bucks. i have been selling some of my "route blessings" as well. i just shipped some peavey speaker stands i curb picked to a guy in arkansas last week.
I have ot paused... If it does go to he curb though... Wheel it out *then* remove the casters... If they were good enough for that behemoth they gotta be salvageable
Milky probably means water in the gas. I know what you are saying about someone not fixing stuff and throwing it out. But some people(not me) have enough cash that they are like screw it, I will get a new one. They might be ignorant to fixing stuff, lazy or too busy. Maybe they are old and now pay someone to cut the grass. I would if I could, down here in New Orleans you could cut grass twice a week almost this time of year. Maybe next mower I will get a self-propelled.
Hey Brad, got a old Japanese strat and Japanese knock off sg bass yesterday on the local Craigslist. Guessing sixties but if I sent you some pics could you please help me out identifying them? They are a matching set it seems. Thanks.
But you done real good and give that' equipment a 2nd life, put a little money in your pocket, and helped the planet out too.oh yes we got some learning and knowledge out of it. Thanks man
Easy money, but you do have to enjoy doing it. I enjoy the fix it up part, but can't stand the search and interaction with people parts of the process.
The pickers here are fast and they take really good stuff for scrap weight . Its such a waste ,they dont speak english and have no clue what they grab other than it is metal. Smh.
I guess you know by now thats water and you need to get all that' oil. and water out of there. put some fresh oil in , you dont want that watered down oil in there. believe me it will eat your motor up. water in your engine is almost as bad as a hand full of sand in it.
@@Fixologist11970 and older, 16:1 because of the 3 ring piston and bronze bushing on the crankshaft. 1971 through early-mid 90s is 32:1, 1998 up is 32:1 or 50:1 for the duraforce. That's how I've always known it.

35:1 is their stated ratio. Already got one running. Video coming soon!

Drive the Mustang while scouting and go back for the Econoline to pick up! Problem solved.
You gotta take the "No Fat Chicks" sticker off the bumper!

It was a really nice find. I couldn't scoop them up fast enough when I saw them at the curb three blocks from my house.
That little mower is fancy! Comes with automatic mosquito fogger AND an automatic anti deck rust system

I figured it was some kind of industrial cake mixer or pizza dough mixer.
Some of the problems with the mowers you’ve salvaged are that they were stored outside, and no basic maintenance was performed.

Brad I had your video playing on my TV and my wife walked in the room and she said who is that? Is that Steve Earle and I said you know it.....😅😂😂
Haha! Nice.

Good deal and glad to see this stuff brought back to life. Most don't take the time to repair anymore. Nice work brother man.
You got that right!

nice scores. i too go hunting the night before trash pick up for gold!! Ive made some great finds. $$. so fun hunting.
got some barrel roll, or whatever it's called in wide angle view that is a bit too disorienting when you are moving around w/ chest mounted cam
I'll see if I can fix that in settings.

Yep.

you should make a gasoline powered guitar amp out of a discarded lawn mower
