He warns us about the egg exploding but doesn't actually go into meaningful detail as how to avoid it. "don't overcook your egg". GREAT ADVICE, THANKS. So like.. I should shake my finger at my microwave and sternly tell it not to overcook my egg?? I think that would depend on cooking time and heat setting, would it not? Is he saying that at 90 seconds it will sometimes explode and sometimes it won't? wow
@@JasonBolte not if you used the same microwave both times. In that case it comes down to: cooking time. heat setting. water amount. (barring miscellaneous techniques like adding salt or vinegar, poking egg w fork, etc.) Your rebuttal basically amounts to, giving specifics is pointless since microwaves vary, and they are a strange and new technology, so we all have to just figure it out on our own.
The first and last time I tried this, it exploded. You wouldn't believe how violently, how loud, and without any warning (I figured if I watched it, I could see some danger sign and turn it off--but there was no sign. It was just sitting there for less than a minute and BOOM! The container it was in, jumped up and hit the top of the microwave.
Hard to fathom why you did not state the wattage power of your microwave. The higher the wattage, the less the time needed. Yes, ovens vary but you are supposed to be providing a guide.
Mine exploded before 1 minute. I think we should start with 30 seconds and then add increments of 10 seconds until the egg is to our liking, soft, medium or hard.
Your bowl or container should have been at least 2x the depth of the egg. The water should be room temperature and cover the egg about 1 inch. Then you overcooked it. Maybe try to actually learn how to do something before you try to teach it to others.
Many moons ago in the previous millennium when microwaves were first invented... My dad's friend decided to heat up a soft boiled egg in the company's microwave. When he removed it from the microwave it blew up in his face. He wasn't hurt, he just had egg of his face, pun intended.
Poke a small hole in the yolk before cooking.
That's a great suggestion!
How about cover it with that lid for keeping your microwave clean? Not sure what it's called. Could that help too?
I nice video on how to make a not-so-nice poached egg.
So let me get this straight.......A microwave with a black interior?????
Yup
Just did an egg for one minute and it exploded. 90 seconds would have exploded long before then...
It’s all going to depend on your microwave.
My shit went EVERYWHERE in the microwave!
@@SACH316-f5c It was supposed to be an egg!🤣
Oh...I forgot....THAT'S A HARD BOILED EGG,NOT POACHED....Poached eggs have a runny yolk,not hard like that

Microwaves all vary in power so help me understand, How would you explain it better?
@@JasonBolte well for starters you could say what cooking time you used when yours exploded
I showed cooking it nearly 90 seconds. Specifics are a little irrelevant considering microwaves vary. I understand what your saying though.

Our hero is back!
Stop it. ☺️
Jason what is the wattage of your microwave cooker, Thanks john,
Thanks for asking! It’s a 1.7 kW.
thanks Jason, much appreciated. @@JasonBolte

Dude must've had a 600 watt oven! I cook 2 in 70seconds in my microwave egg cooker. IOW, wattage matters.
I’m going to try that tonight! Thanks!
Hope you enjoy. Thanks for watching!
@@JasonBolte tried it tonight. Mine took about 140 seconds. Excellent. Or should I say “eggsellent!”
Lmao I was sound this TikTok trick, and THIS LITERALLY JIST HAPPENED. I was so scared 💀
You have to make sure the egg is covered with water so it does not explode. That’s all
Place your poached egg on a slice of sour dough toast.

Wattage?
All of it.
@@JasonBolte dupek.
Thank you for calling attention to and showing the fact that the egg can explode. Other people don't.
What time would you use for 4 eggs? Thanks! 🙏🏻
I would cautiously do a minute at a time and check them for how cooked they are. I know they will start to pop, usually before they explode.
@@JasonBolte Awesome, thank you brother! 🙏🏻
90 seconds is too much, no more than 50 to60 seconds is enough.

what do you do when it exploded inside like is it broken them
It’s just a mess to clean up. Nothing beyond that.
90 seconds is far too long

Put a lid on it.
It would blow off.
There was an explosion
I think the exploded egg looked more delicious. Ummmm, various microwave leftover flavors.....Gaaalaaaah .
🤣
Saves using a plate😂
Looks like a hard boiled egg. Yuck
I got an unction to share this note. Lets Turn to God Theseasonorg explains whole Bible God bless.
Thank you brother.
@Bill. Cleanliness is next to godliness, and exploded eggs just don’t do it.
Ludicrous ... and dangerous.
Hard egg yolk 🤮🤮

Wooh. Crazy how a soft object like that wants to explode when being heated. Thanks for the warning!
Is this a prank? 60 seconds created an explosion in my microwave
Microwaves vary. Some put our more power than others. It’s not a prank.
It doesn't work with a microwave....don't you see the end result is a hard boiled egg?
Lol. Been there done that (the wrongvway) 😂🤣😂 this morning. What a mess. Cooked it too long 🤦♂️
Not a fun mess to clean, is it? 😆
@@JasonBolte no. I had to look it up on the internet to see if I was the only one to do it. Lol
