Or if you’re already going to the trouble to boil water, you could just boil a pot of water with some salt in it and you know put eggs into it. Just stir the water up first to get it moving around the pot. crack how ever many eggs you want into a bowl and pour it into the boiling water as it goes around the pot.Remove the poached eggs with a slotted spoon you’re all good

    A very handy recipe.
I was looking a similar video, in his, he used half as much water, the water was cold, and smaller(half size, if it makes a difference) into a 1250w on high for 50 sec(same as this on 80%) and it came out exactly the same. So...some water in cup and nuke for 50-60sec.and toast. This truly is the idiot proof fresh, hot breakfast a person like me needs.

My "easy" microwave poached egg experience turned into a 20 minute fiasco. After about 40 seconds my egg exploded all over every single inch of the inside of the microwave (with the added fun of egg water dripping out of the microwave and onto my stove). I had even put a plate on top of the bowl I had been cooking the egg inside in order to attempt to contain any possible egg explosions. This didn't work as the "eggsplosion" was so big that it knocked the plate off and shot egg out of the bowl. After this happened, I just cracked 3 more eggs into the bowl with about a teaspoon of water, mixed the eggs around breaking the yolks, covered it with a paper towel this time, and put it into the microwave for 2 minutes while closing my eyes and plugging my ears in case of a nuclear-sized explosion. This time I only heard one little pop, but there was no major explosion. Of course, I was irate as I was cleaning the entire inside of the microwave (and the stove top as well) and I ended up throwing the little circular plastic thingy that the glass microwave platter spins on across the room causing it to hit the wall and break. So, after cleaning everything up I had to repair the broken circular plastic thing. Oh...and then there was the vigorous scrubbing of the bowl that egg residue had become fused with. So, at least twenty minutes later, I finally sat down to eat my poached eggs. Unless a microwave safe container is invented that is equivalent to the strength of the containers they use to contain bomb explosions, I will just continue cooking my eggs on the stove. LOL!

My first egg exploded and made a mess. Second time I used the measuring cup instead of a smaller ramekin dish. Heated the water in the nuke box, put the egg in and put the paper towel folded in half over it. My MW only operates on full power so I did 30 seconds, another 15 secs and kept a watch. One minute was all that was needed, but I burnt the toast. Oh well.

Timing, or duration of heating, is the key. The egg is done before it explodes. For 1 cold egg in water, i use 40 secs. When mine exploded, all the water escaped from the bowl.

I take 1/2 cup cold water in a one cup measuring cup. Cracked egg and place the contents in the cold water. To my liking I microwave it for 45 seconds I do put paper towel on top and using a slotted spoon, I take poached egg out of the cup and put it on my toast. It’s a lot easier than what you are doing. You don’t need to boil water.
