Katara - All Scenes Powers & Abilities
Katara is a fifteen-year-old Waterbender who, like her older brother Sokka, was born and raised in the Southern Water Tribe by her grandmother, Kanna, prior to the life of her mother being taken during a Fire Nation raid. Katara was the last Waterbender in her tribe. She and her brother Sokka found an Airbender named Aang who later is revealed as the Avatar. She and Sokka accompany him on his journey to master the remaining three elements: water, earth, and fire.

The COSTUME design wasn't bad. It was the ACTING, CAST, and the damn CHOREOGRAPHY. the CGI was actually really good. But cgi can't carry a bad movie.

I've always wondered why the elements would react so slowly after the movements they've made. It's like they're giving plenty of time to the opponent to react of duck to avoid whatever's coming at them. In the animated series, the water and the other elements would react speedily, you know

IIRC James Cameron had the idea for The Other Avatar franchise for years but he resisted putting it on screen for a long time because he didn't feel the cinematic technology at the time would have done it proper justice.

To be honest the bending part of the movie would have been all right if they just sped up the action, made it so there weren’t awkward pauses during the fighting, and had better stances/moves that matched the fighting. Also what’s with the hand motions...?
