This was a better episode but the writing is still so hit and miss. Firecracker exposing Starlight's abortion would've hit harder if she didnt just literally admit to statutory rape on live tv?? And the fact neither Frenchie or her other friends comforted her after Firecracker exposing her accidentally harming someone.
Yeah! that was a big curve ball the only reason the abortion was even as impactful at first is we thought she might not have told Hughie and that might have hurt them. But he knew so that wasn't as big as we had thought, but statutory rape now that's crazy!!!
@@KnoWhereEntertainmentI wasn't a fan of that angle. Realistically firecracker committing statutory rape would be way more serious than Starlight having an abortion and her credibility would be gone. Admitting to it instead of claiming it was photoshop or deepfakes was a goofy move by the writers.
100% agree there are some things that are lacking in the writing department! Like how Ashley was scared about a floater she left in Homelanders toilet! Like just go flush it!
