I bought a pair and I think they're great, as for blurry peripheral vision, absolutely not. They are 100% stylish and I would recommend them to anyone who likes Ray Ban. Try them, you'll see for yourself.
Even after looking at this video and some other comments saying it is trash, I got mine yesterday. Absolutely love them, they look and feel fantastic to me. There are some cons I agree with, like the ammount of light they let in, but it's not that bad, also there is a small chance that your eyelashes contact the lenses, but if I'm honest that happens to me with all glasses because I have long eyelashes, last thing is that it takes a couple minutes to get used to the optics, but after that it is perfectly fine, I was able to drive without issues. IMO, are they perfect? no. Are they for everybody? no, but they are nowhere near that bad.
I want to know how Ray-Ban arrived at the conclusion these should be produced. Think of all the concept and design review meetings this had to go through before production. They, as a company, decided this was a good idea. It honestly baffles me that one of the biggest names in the eyewear industry actually decided to make this.

There is literally not one single optical advantage to doing this, and it didn’t have to be produced for sale to be able to see that. Anyone who understands the way light travels through a lens to the eyeball would have been able to guess this would distort the image. The fact that this made it past the prototyping stage shows that Ray-Ban is counting on their customer base to value aesthetic distinction over practical benefit. This is a marketing experiment.
Guy FYI i own 14 pairs of rayban were 6 of them are aviators, and i just bougjg yesterday the same model , that he is wearing, i avise you not to listen to him , they are quite amazing , a little lighter than the originals, but they Feel and look amazing.
Reverse lenses remind me of Ghostface/Scream. I wouldn't get them, but I think the Wayfarers pull off the reverse look better than Aviators. On the bright side, these might be considered a vintage quirk decades from now.

These are produced 80% for style and 20% for function. If you are aware of that, you can enjoy them. I bought a pair with the silver lenses and they are far more reflective than any other pair of raybans you can buy. I think the reflectiveness makes for a cool style - its definitely a statement piece and I think they are the best looking pair of aviators I own
When I saw a different TH-cam channel talk about these I thought they looked so stupid from a functionality standpoint. Thank you for confirming that I’m not going crazy and they are, in fact, stupid

Today, I picked up a pair of polarized aviators i ordered online at sunglass hut. The lady working there was telling me how a guy came in wanting the same outdoorsman style stallone wore in cobra. She told him that they didnt have those and that she sold him these instead. Oof. My man got got.

I can only imagine what the laser spot test does when shined through the lens. It's got to be a massive offset. Vote with your wallets folks and do not buy!

These are definitely meant for a fashion runway and not much else, they look really cool on the wall but as sunglasses they are terrible. Lol as a guy with somewhat long eyelashes the issue of eyelashes touching my lenses is a constant with every frame ive tried, but these reverses are on another level
I just recieved a pair of New Caravan optical frames one week ago and guess what - Made in China. I'm honestly pissed, because on their official website, as well as the reputable seller from which I sourced these, there is at least one picture showing "Made in Italy" on the temple, whereas on mine, there is just nothing. For a while I thought I was scammed, but aparently this is the new standard with Ray Ban.... So disappointed by the shady marketing
The pair you are wearing are smaller than your face, I can tell from the rod bend before the ear that's why your eyelashes touch the glass, they are just amazing
Gotta say not a fan when I first saw them, super weird concept. But when on someone's face. That pure opaque mirror look, looks cool af. So ya if you like style, these are great. But if your only going to buy one pair, this isn't it. These are purely a fashion/ novelty buy. Not everyone's got 200+ to drop on that.
I Agree these feel more of fashion style than actual sunglasses as I would never wear these in public...seen these reveal on Sport RX channel teasing them ..saying their the next big of optical innovation n etc.. And seeing the video I just cringed of them trying to advertise them saying how they love them...compared to the comments basically saying the opposite Yeah quite innovating but an innovation that shouldn't have been done as they look ridiculous as sure companies must have thought of this idea before but didn't do them for that reason

I think my favorite part in that Sport RX video was when the optician spoke briefly the only thing he really had to say was that they can distort your vision. Then the rest of the video was just two employees trying them on talking about how good they look. They were clearly being very careful to not actually talk about the optical quality of the design. It made me lose a little respect for their channel tbh. Calling this design an innovation is equivalent to graffitiing a car and calling it a custom paint job.

@ShadeReview Well, I received them today, and they're quite nice actually. I expected something terrible but my first impression isn't bad at all. I ordered the 61 mm lens size and didn't experience the eyelash problems. The coverage from the top is quite decent, only on the side have a relatively big gap, but not bigger than a round style frame. Went for a short walk with these and it gave me a feeling like being in a VR game, followed by some motion sickness, lol. 😅
dafuq happened to them. I was curious when these came out, and this is exactly what I expected. This is what happens when you try to make something "cool" by going against evolution and basic biology, that's the reason our eyeballs are convex. You are so depressed by Ray Ban that for a moment I thought I was watching a video from The spectacle factory (that guy really hates RB).
In my opinion, useless ugly design, not healthy for the eyes. I would recommend the aviator RB3625 Chromance, the polar clear gradient dark blue color silver mirror, instead of that one, so much better quality view experience I would say one of the lens Ray Ban has ever made.
