Another fun day at the track. What are the aluminum pieces on the ends of the upper nose for?

Those are Gurney flaps, a small, vertical tab attached to the trailing edge of a wing to improve the aerodynamic performance of the wing by increasing downforce. This is achieved by creating a higher pressure difference between the top and bottom surfaces of the wing, which enhances the wing's ability to generate downforce without a significant increase in drag.
